The skies are blue, and temperatures have even reached double figures. Spring is here , and, my, are we ready for it! As editors, it’s our job to be one step ahead of not only the trends but also the current sartorial climate. In the business of making sure you’re kept firmly in the know of all things fashion, our minds are always fixated on the future and, indeed, what we’ll be wearing, be it in one month, two months, or six months.
There are, however, some exceptions to this rule. One of them was the shocking week of glorious weather we had recently, during which we just so happened to have our latest street style shoot planned. We intended to head out to the streets of central London  to see what you—yes, you —were wearing now that the first signs of spring had sprung. Little did we know, however, that the sun would shine so brightly that it would spark the desire for you to dig out your spring and summer clothes early, assembling them into some seriously impressive outfits.
Woollen coats were cast aside, and in their place, blazers and lightweight trench coats  were layered over shirts and simple tops. Some even braved bare legs! There was, undoubtedly, a sense of playfulness in the outfits we saw, many of which were made up of bright colours . Truly, your ensembles were a joy to behold. So to inspire others to embrace springtime in all its stylish glory, we’ve assembled our favourite looks for you to peruse below.Â
The best thing about shooting street style is that these are all real looks, worn by, for the lack of a better word, real people. Not models or influencers, but people going about their daily lives and looking fabulous in doing so. Without further ado, scroll on to see 10 standout looks from our London street style spring 2022 photo shoot.Â
Style Notes: In case you’ve been avoiding new-in sections lately, let us fill you in—tangerine tones are trending in a big way this spring, and although there’s a multitude of ways in which you can wear them (a handbag or a pair of shoes is a good shout if you’re tentative about it), Rebekka has perhaps found the sleekest way to do so: with a pair of tailored trousers. Keeping the rest of her ensemble monochromatic really allows her Arket strides to take centre stage, but let us not overlook her excellent H&M shirting layered over Zara jersey basics, H&M chunky loafers and a timeless Chanel classic flap handbag.Â
Just think, it would make for a sleek and alternative wedding guest outfit.Â
Of course, we’re tempted to invest in the matching blazer, too.

Style Notes: To even the untrained eye, Kika’s outfit would look chic and pulled together, but take a closer look and you can really see the thought and time she’s poured into her ensemble—something we wholly appreciate. The student’s bouclĂ© jacket might look top-dollar, but it’s actually from Mango. That’s right, Mango, not Chanel. We know—we wouldn’t have guessed it either. Her jeans and top are both from Uniqlo—a brand you’ll see crop up in more of our favourite looks from the day—but what we were most impressed by was her Vivienne Westwood Orb necklace, currently trending on TikTok. The inclusion of this iconic piece of jewellery in her outfit shows just how in touch with fashion she is. Kika, you’re a woman after our own hearts.Â
Mango has some elite tweed and bouclĂ© jackets this season, but this minty shade feels especially spring-appropriate.Â
Style Notes: The handbag game is always so strong when we go street style–spotting in the streets of London, and it wasn’t long before this bright-green Bottega Veneta Mini Jodie bag caught our attention. With fans including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and every editor who works in the capital, this is a bag that, although statement, makes for a wise investment in the eyes of fashion people. When we looked up from it, however, it was a delight to see that the rest of the outfit—styled and worn by Aya—was just as impressive. Her coat looks expensive, but we were pleased to learn it comes from affordable Scandi hot spot Na-kd. Her cool, wide-leg jeans? They’re ASOS.Â
Bright colours not your thing? Rest assured this leather handbag comes in just about every hue you can think of (neutrals included).Â
Style Notes: Suffice to say, we love a good blazer here at Who What Wear, and this just might be the most impressive one we’ve seen. Charlotte’s block blazer from Brøgger is as bright and bubbly as her personality. Completing her look with a kelly-green ChloĂ© bag and Alexander McQueen kicks, she really captured spring in an outfit.Â
Charlotte’s Brøgger blazer is sold out everywhere, so it’s worth keeping an eye on eBay and Depop for resales. However, this French Connection two-tone blazer will help you to achieve her look should you be in a hurry to re-create it.Â
Style Notes: Kita is a junior creative who clearly has a flair for the sartorial, too. Her checked, wide-leg trousers couldn’t be more on-trend if they tried, and the pairing of her thin white roll-neck and vintage pink shirt is masterful. If you’re unsure of how to layer your pieces for spring, we suggest you follow Kita’s suggestion. Finished with a trench coat from Uniqlo, this is the perfect ensemble for running errands (or walking your adorable dog!) in.Â
Kita’s might be vintage, but there are plenty of pink shirts to snap up on the high street.Â
Covered buttons make everything look so elevated.Â
Style Notes: We’re filing thuis look under “what to wear to brunch,” which is precisely the activity Isabelle was on her way to do when we spotted her impressive attire. The sun was shining, and Isabelle certainly made the most of it with her Zara cotton ruffle top, which she tucked into a pair of embroidered Red Carter trousers. Gorgeous.Â
A holiday top if there ever were one.Â
Style Notes: There are a few things that give away Saday’s fashion-stylist profession—her Mango suiting is immaculate, her accessories are minimal, and she practicality radiates cool. Sometimes, the simplest outfits are the most effective, and Saday gets it.Â
Slouchier-style trousers to Saday’s but one that’s no less stylish.Â
Style Notes: When Adele told us that she owns her own gallery, we weren’t in the least bit surprised, as it’s clear she has an inherent ability to spot a must-have piece from a mile off. That rainbow Loewe bag? Dreamy. Her Valentino belt? Just as covetable. As for her block-colour jacket and trousers? They’re from Topshop and Zara respectively. Adele then finished her look with a pair of fun Converse kicks.Â
The subtle flare on these trousers will look so flattering on.Â
Let’s face it: This is the dream bag.
Style Notes: While Ting Ting’s entire ensemble is flawless, it was her gorgeous Dior Saddle bag that immediately caught our eye. In fresh white, the designer arm candy is ideal for making your wares feel more springlike. Throw her Chanel houndstooth bucket hat into the mix, and it’s clear that Ting Ting is a woman who has an eye for a stellar accessory. Sure, her add-ons might be high-end, but we also love how she’s layered high-street into her outfit, too, by way of a Zara blazer and H&M jeans. And another pair of Converse trainers? This can’t be a coincidence. Â
Loose-fit jeans are still very much on the 2022 style agenda.Â
Converse trainers never date—as evidenced by the street stylers we saw in London.Â
Style Notes: Effortless is the best word to describe artworker Louise’s aesthetic—we could immediately tell she’s the sort of person who could pull on anything and look inherently cool. Trench coats are a spring style staple, this we know, but we love how Louise has deviated from the traditional shades of camel in favour of khaki. Make no mistake, her ASOS trench looks just as expensive as the beige iterations we’re used to seeing at this time of year, but the simple colour swap makes hers stand out from the crowd. Finished with a crossbody from influencer-favourite Charles & Keith and Nike Air Force 1s, Louise’s outfit has raised the off-duty style bar.Â
The perfect springtime cover-up for the days when the weather can’t seem to make up its mind. That’ll be all of April, then.Â
