I love a good elevated basic, like a luxe tank or a crisp button-down. Unlike trendier items, these timeless style staples not only prevent a fashion faux pas, but they’re so easy to style – and majorly chic. Recently, I’ve noticed that Old Navy’s become *the* place to shop for chic essentials, evidenced by my latest purchase from the retailer: The Fitted Twist-Front Cami Top ($12, originally $25). Ahead, find out everything you need to know about the perfect-for-summer silhouette that’s officially become my weekend go-to.

What I Like About This Cami Top

Admittedly, I was worried this top would give me a boxy look, but it did the exact opposite, hugging my figure in a way that gave me a confidence boost. I tucked it into my favorite pair of Old Navy denim (the Higher High-Waisted Side-Slit Flare Jeans) and was practically shocked by how few accessories I needed to complete the look. I grabbed a handbag, put on some earrings, and slipped on my favorite pair of heels to grab a drink with a friend, and felt effortlessly put together. I really like how the shirt’s twisted knot detail gives it that little something extra without being over-the-top, and as a low-key gal, I appreciate that.

Another thing I like about this top is its material, which is lightweight and good for hot weather. It’s made of 53 percent cotton and 47 percent viscose rayon, the combination of which reminds me of linen. It doesn’t cling to the skin and thus, keeps you cool, even when the sun’s baring down.

What Occasion Is This Cami Top Good For?

Anything, with the exception of ultra-formal occasions or really casual ones. From date night to evenings on the town with friends, this cami top will suit just about any occasion. I’d say it’s more formal than low-key, but that’s not to say you can’t dress it down with a pair of distressed jeans.

What’s Worth Noting About This Cami Top

This cami has a ton of five-star reviews, but there are some shoppers (only a small fraction) who say it runs small in the chest. I didn’t have that problem personally, but you may want to consider purchasing two sizes and returning one if you think this may be a problem for you. Keep in mind, though, that it does feature adjustable spaghetti straps, which is worth thinking about before you place your order.

Would I Recommend This Cami Top?

Yes! This cami top is no stranger to going out of stock, so I advise you to act really fast if you want it. Being totally honest, I played it safe by ordering it in black, but if I was to add this cami to my cart again, I’d choose a summery hue, like “Mango Sorbet” or “Ginger Rose.” It even comes in a gingham-print option ($12, originally $25) in two colors – tan and blue – if you prefer a pattern. I might just need to buy one more.
