Uterqüe is hardly a new label. Inditex, which owns Zara, created the sister brand and launched it back in 2008. It’s a firm UK fashion-editor favourite (even though it remains a relatively “insider” brand). Like Zara, Uterqüe creates trend-led pieces that look like they belong in a street style gallery.

The label was initially focused on accessories, and while this is one of our favourite destinations for beautiful shoes and Instagram-worthy earrings, it’s so much more than that. The leather products are always beautifully designed and cut. They’re the sort of pieces you’ll keep forever. Jackets are another big win from this brand. It offers blazers and trench coats in chic colours that’ll upgrade your outerwear edit.

We’re talking about pieces that’ll manage to fit seamlessly into your existing wardrobe and that have a statement element that’ll make everyone ask, Where did you get it from? The best part is that Uterqüe will likely be a new brand to their ears, and you can spend the rest of the conversation telling them about the pieces that have a firm place in your online baskets. And there’s no doubt you’ll be a bad (or should we say good) influence on others as they head to Uterqüe to shop the best bits.

Luckily, the most recent collection is particularly strong, and there is a lot to love. We recommend checking out the coat section now that we’re in autumn and the array of chic shirts, but also make sure you keep an eye out for the braided mules and chic knee-high boots. Keep scrolling to shop our favourite pieces from Uterqüe and give Zara a well-deserved rest—for now.

Style Notes: Editor in Chief Hannah Almassi is a big fan of Uterqüe’s sandals.

Style Notes: Part of the #uterquesquad, Claire Wakeman knows the brand’s shoe offerings will rival that of some of the best designers.

Style Notes: These are “wow” shoes if ever we’ve seen them. Amy Lawrenson knows how to take a pair of trusty jeans to dreamy new heights.
