When it comes to building an impeccable wardrobe, the high street is key for certain staple pieces: midi dresses that’ll see you through any kind of occasion, knitwear that works just as well during the week as it will on the weekends and, of course, versatile coats. This is why we’re once again turning our attention to Zara. Ah, Zara. Naturally, there are plenty of reasons we shop at this affordable high-street hotspot, but right now, we’re thinking about the outerwear offering that has just landed, both on-site and on its IRL rails.

Monikh Dale’s Zara coat looks so expensive.

Is it just us, or does the brand’s coat selection get better every season? We believe this to be the case—so much so that we just had to share some of it with you. However, with literally hundreds of coat styles currently on offer, who has time to sift through them all in the hopes of finding the coat to see you through everything from winter walks to evenings out? Well, we do.

Acting assistant editor Maxine Eggenberger was quick to snap up this oversized option.

With classic trench coats, timeless belted jackets and robe coats, double-breasted blazers, oversized silhouettes and so much more, keep scrolling to see our pick of the best Zara coats to shop right now before they inevitably sell out.

Doesn’t this coat hang beautifully?

This powder-blue shade always looks so expensive.

Everyone needs a classic black coat in their wardrobe, and this is the perfect contender.

The colder it gets, the more we’re drawn to shearling-lined outerwear.

Green is rapidly becoming the colour of the season.

This print is just fabulous.

Puffer coats aren’t going anywhere.

A cut like this could easily pass as designer.

Make no mistake, herringbone coats are big this winter, and this is one of the best we’ve seen.

This coat features one of our favourite outerwear trends for 2021—faux-fur cuffs.

Vinyl coats come back every winter.

A bolder colour take on the classic camel coat.

The fuzzy texture and exposed seams on this coat look so high-end.

Evergreen hues are just that—utterly timeless. We also enjoy the addition of exposed patched pockets.

This versatile coat comes in four colour-ways: blue, mint, beige, and this chic charcoal hue.

Thanks to its deep hue, this red coat will go with more than you initially might think.

Double-breasted coats always look sophisticated, even when you wear them with your casual looks.

The faux-fur collar is detachable, but when it looks this cute and will keep you toasty, we don’t see why you’d want to remove it.

The colour and texture of this coat are beyond gorgeous.

You’ll be grateful for this hooded puffer when you find yourself in a downpour.

See what we mean about powder blue? So premium.

So cosy.

You likely already have a trench in your wardrobe, but if you’re looking for an update, this chic brown shade could be just the ticket.

Toggle fastenings are another key outerwear trend.

The gold buttons make this coat feel more premium.

This coat is going to fly.

Furry collars and cuffs are back this season.

A classic investment.

Two of my favourite things—a coat and cardigan—collide.
