This Textured Old Navy Bikini Is My New Obsession – and It’s On Sale

Now that it’s spring and people officially have warmer weather on the brain, everyone has an eye on their favorite retailers’ new arrivals section – and I’m among them. Admittedly, buying a swimsuit in April while living in the Midwest feels illegal, given that it’s a whole 20 degrees outside as I type this. The thing is, I’d be doing myself a disservice by not stocking up on bikinis and one-pieces now because some styles are already selling out (yes, really). So when I scrolled by the Old Navy Piqué Underwire Bikini Swim Top ($24, originally $40) and Low-Rise Pucker Classic Bikini Swim Bottoms ($20, originally $25), I knew I had to act fast, despite the fact I hadn’t put away my winter coats. Ahead, I share my first impressions on the bikini so you can determine whether or not to order it preemptively, too.

What I Love About the Old Navy Piqué Bikini

What I love most about this bikini top is that the support is the best I’ve experienced from any brand in a long time. The cups feel practically custom-made for my 34C chest, and the straps adjust, so I was able to tighten them slightly to find my perfect fit.

My second favorite thing about this bikini is the piqué fabric. I’m a texture lover through and through, so this caught my eye from the start – and lived up to my expectations in real life. Catch an up-close look at the fabric below.

What’s Worth Noting About the Old Navy Piqué Bikini

If you’re in-between sizes or unsure about which to go with, it’s worth ordering the bikini in two different sizes to try on at home, or at your nearest Old Navy store, if you can find it in stock. Several shoppers found the swimsuit flattering and said it provided great coverage. “I’m a 34B and went with the medium,” writes a reviewer who gave it a five-star rating. “It fits like a dream and is so incredibly flattering.” Another shopper wrote that it offers “great coverage” for B/C cups and a “secure fit.”

But at the time of writing, no Old Navy shoppers with bigger chests have given it a five-star rating. A few found the sizing a little complicated. “I’m a 36A, and a medium fit perfectly with the straps, but the cups were pretty big,” a reviewer wrote. Another said: “I ordered according to the size chart, and while it technically ‘fit,’ there was not nearly enough coverage in the top, but ordering up would make it too loose in the rib cage to provide any support.” Again, it’s best to experiment with different sizes – if possible – to find your perfect fit.

Who Is the Old Navy Piqué Bikini for?

The Old Navy Piqué Bikini is a great option for those looking for a bikini featuring a classic silhouette with textured fabric. While I can’t speak to the fit on larger or smaller chests, I felt equally comfortable and sexy in size medium top and bottom – and I think it’s a timeless option I’ll be inclined to reach for next summer and beyond, too.
