Like many other British high-street institutions, Warehouse has undergone a fair amount of change over the last couple of years, having been acquired by the Boohoo Group back in the summer of 2020. There was always a risk that this iconic brand, along with the likes of Oasis and Karen Millen, would lose its essence as an individual brand once it was subsumed into the e-commerce behemoth, but from what I’ve seen, Warehouse’s designs are looking better than ever.

From quirky throwback jackets and elevated knitwear to an unexpected yet undeniably chic collaboration with The British Museum, Warehouse seems to have taken over where OG Topshop left off. This brand’s autumn drop is further confirmation of the innovations and distinctive designs it’s championing right now, so I decided to create a round-up of some of the particular styles that caught my eye.  The mood for the season is very much “elevated basics meet pops of retro print,” so naturally, it’s right up my street. At the top of my wish list is a green jacquard-knit vest, which would look so cute layered over a fitted white shirt and wide-leg jeans. I’m also enjoying the premium-feeling ombrĂ© colourways on Warehouse’s striped long-sleeve top—wear with the matching skirt for a complete statement-making ensemble. Ready to go?
