The Cult Moisturisers Meghan Markle, Rosie HW, and J.Lo Actually Use

September 04, 2021 at 06:09AM A good cleanser might be the foundation of any successful skincare routine, but finding the right moisturiser can take your skin to the next level. While celebrities might have access to the very best facials and skincare experts in the business, there’s no doubt that most of the A-list have seriously good skin, and a lot of that will be down to the moisturiser they slather on daily.Although there are celebrity exceptions (Emma Stone reportedly loves olive oil, while Pixi Geldof swears by argan oil), a little bit of digging proved that basically all our favourite celebrities were loyal to one moisturiser. Ranging from £13 to £350, there’s a whole mix of price points and skincare solutions here, but keep scrolling for the very best moisturisers that the likes of Meghan Markle, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Victoria Beckham actually use. After Alexa’s favourite…

5 Autumn TikTok Trends I’m Actually Going to Wear

September 04, 2021 at 06:08AM From the runways to the virtual pavements of social media, team Who What Wear is here to decode every trend, no matter how big or how small. We look to all corners of the real world and the internet to hunt down the next big thing, and with the autumn season looming large, it felt like the right time to investigate the hotbed of newness that is TikTok. Here, trends take off almost out of nowhere, with little regard for what’s available in stores, what designers are offering or what Joe Public (that’s me) might be interested in wearing. It’s a microcosm of alternative subcultures and unique style, the likes of which you might not so readily find on other visual platforms such as Pinterest or Instagram. It’s where the strangest themes are born (goblincore or gorpcore, anyone?), yet…

The Best High-Street Buys We’ve Seen on Instagram This Month

September 04, 2021 at 06:02AM The team at Who What Wear UK prides itself on uncovering cult items before they’ve even made it off the production line. We’re keen, to say the least, and a great portion of our time is spent documenting and analysing the Instagram posts of the thousands of cool women we follow on Instagram for high-street sightings. In fact, we have WhatsApp groups and Slack channels dedicated to these affordably priced power pieces, and we want to update you on them as soon as possible (aka after we’ve bought our faves). Our skills are so attuned that more often than not, we’ll have an inkling about a certain piece before it has hit the big time. Sometimes, you’ll find a flurry of brand-specific action due to a paid activation or natural desire to wear a particular thing or label. But other times, it’ll…

I Just Tried on the Best Petite Autumn Buys—Here’s What’s Actually Worth It

September 04, 2021 at 06:01AM Amongst the women in my family, we’ve always believed in the power of the change-room boogie. You know, the inadvertent reaction you have when trying on clothes at a store and finally finding a piece that fits *just* right, inevitably leading to a quick shimmy in front of the change-room mirror to whatever pop song is playing over the loudspeaker.Okay, maybe it’s just us? But I’m sure everyone can relate to the exciting feeling of putting on an item of clothing that instantly fits like a glove. As a petite woman, I have to say it’s a rarity. There’s usually a skirt hem dragging on the floor or a trouser leg that requires rolling up whenever I’m trying on clothes. That is why this month, I set out to find some petite-specific items that warrant a change-room boogie (or…

The Coat Trends We Predict Everyone Will Be Wearing This Autumn

September 04, 2021 at 06:00AM Out of all the fashion staples in our wardrobe, the coat is probably the item that worked the hardest last year, and something tells us the same will be said for 2021. As we enter September, while we are no longer in full lockdown, the humble coat will inevitably become an essential part of our style arsenal, whether we’re relishing our new-found freedom with dinners out, chilling at home or trekking into the office for the first time. Luckily, the new season is set to usher in a host of outwear trends that combine both form and function. The elevated puffer is, of course, sticking around and is surely one of the warmest things you can throw on on a chilly November morning, but this year they come with more streamlined quilting which is perfect for layering. There’s also plenty of colour via the saturated shades that hit the runway at Prada…

Hair Experts Predict These Will Be the Biggest Hair Trends for Autumn

September 03, 2021 at 08:00AM While most of us are still desperately clinging to the final weeks of summer, industry experts have their sights firmly set on the season ahead as they make their predictions for the biggest autumn trends in the worlds of beauty and fashion. And with so many trending hairstyles emerging in 2021 already, I was particularly keen to find out what’s in store for our strands as we head into autumn. “In summer, we all love to experiment with our hair, trying out different styles from braids to beachy waves and opting for shorter haircuts that are less maintenance,” says Callum Standen-May, creative stylist at Bond Shoreditch. “However, in autumn, some of us can find it difficult to find the right hairstyle or cut that will continue to look healthy throughout the colder months.”All of the experts that I spoke to stressed that adding a nourishing hair mask or strengthening treatment to…

Everyone I Know With Amazing Skin Uses This One Scientific Product

September 03, 2021 at 08:00AM From bakuchiol to CBD, 2021 has already seen it’s fair share of trending skincare ingredients, and I’ve tried them all. From overcoming my resistance to retinol to embracing a more pared-back approach to my skincare routine, I love experimenting to work out which ingredients are truly worth putting on my skin. There’s one key ingredient, however, that I’ve wholly neglected to sing the praises of this year. Despite using it every single day in my own routine, this ingredient has been somewhat overlooked in favour of the buzzy new launches that have been leading the way. Yet ask anyone with amazing skin which scientific ingredient it is that they swear by, and I guarantee it will be this one.The ingredient in question? Vitamin C. Also known as ascorbic acid, vitamin C might not be anything new, but it’s certainly a bit of a wonder ingredient if you aren’t…

These 6 Autumn Trends Are So Good Influencers Are Already Wearing Them

September 03, 2021 at 08:00AM Yesterday, when I stepped outside, the chill and moisture in the air felt distinctly like autumn. My gut reaction? Excitement. I love autumn, I love dressing for autumn, and now, it feels like I can genuinely start planning my outfits for the upcoming season. You might think I’m unnecessarily organised. After all, we still have at least a few weeks of summer left. But after my latest Instagram scroll, it would appear I’m actually late to the party, as many of my favourite influencers are already wearing autumn trends now. Why, I hear you ask, would they do such a thing? It probably has something to do with the fact that the autumn 2021 trends are some of the most fun to wear that we’ve seen in a long while. Autumn fashion can often be quite serious, dominated by a moody colour palette…

This Low-Maintenance Haircut Is Set to Be Huge in 2021

September 03, 2021 at 08:00AM If you had asked any beauty insider back in January what the big hair trends for the year ahead would be, it’s unlikely anyone would have said grown-out roots, wonky fringes, and patchy box dye jobs. Yet here we are. The year is finally drawing to a close, and it’s safe to say that the face of beauty has changed substantially over the past 11 months, most notably when it comes to our hair. Whatever your signature style, whether you started the year with ice-white lengths or a sleek, glass-like bob, chances are 2020 has messed with your hair game.Sure, we all started this ride feeling optimistic that we would be able to return to our trusty stylists and get our signature locks back just as soon as things “blew over,” but as time has moved on so have our hair priorities.…

No One Believes I Found This Cool £13 Top From Marks and Spencer

September 03, 2021 at 08:00AM What is behind our continued obsession with tie-dye? And when I say “our,” I mean everyone, not just the fashion crowd. While the trend might have exploded on the runways a few seasons ago (Dior, Proenza Schouler and Versace, to name a few), it wasn’t until we hit the first lockdown that the trend suddenly became the print du jour, with online global shopping platform Lyst reporting a huge increase in searches for the print last year. I think part of its appeal is to do with its roots—most recently in ‘60s hippie culture—and as such, it’s associated with a more laid-back lifestyle. In a world where anxiety is, understandably, at an all-time high, tie-dye gives the impression of being more chilled out even when you probably aren’t. Personally, my motivation for wearing tie-dye is somewhere in between the above reasons. I…
