Put This Trending Top on and You’ll Look Sporty and Rich

September 16, 2021 at 06:00AM At some point in the recent past, someone decided to merge the two worlds of athleisure and Princess Di together and come up with the term ‘sporty and rich’. Unlike the aforementioned atheleisure trend, this isn’t just about adding a pair of Adidas trackies to a white shirt or some other similar iteration, this is about channeling a classic sportswear piece but as if you’ve just finished a game of tennis or heading out of a swanky members club gym. Right now the piece that epitomises this look is the rugby shirt for women. It’s been bubbling away for a while. Ganni created an orange and black version adorned with sparkly buttons a couple of seasons ago, which I spotted on Abisola Omole. And I’ve also seen Lucy Williams wearing a short-sleeved version which is just as cool when worn with…

Jenna Coleman Just Wore the Autumn Jacket Trend That’s All Over the High Street

September 15, 2021 at 10:57AM We don’t get to see a lot of Jenna Coleman out and about, and more’s the pity as we’ve been long-time fans of her style. The actress is often spotted wearing more understated looks but that doesn’t mean we haven’t noticed her stylish outfits. Last night, she once again proved that less is more wearing a head-to-toe Chanel look that’s the perfect autumnal outfit for when you don’t want to wear a fancy dress but still want to look chic. While attending this year’s Royal Academy of Arts summer exhibition party, Coleman opted for a pair of chevron trousers, a Chanel belt and a classic Chanel bouclĂ© jacket. Although we loved the whole ensemble, it’s the jacket that really caught our eye and reminded us just why the fashion house’s bouclĂ© is iconic. Created by Coco Chanel in the 1920s,…

Here’s What a Dermatologist Really Thinks About These 6 Viral Skincare Products

September 15, 2021 at 08:00AM While social media can be a hub for all things fashion and beauty, skincare is a topic that can get a little tricky, especially when certain products start to trend. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been guilty of succumbing to a viral product only to be disappointed when it didn’t exactly work for my skin. While following trends for clothes and makeup can be an easier feat, with skincare, it’s crucial to be cautious because what works for others may not work for you, and some products may seem like they’re working but can actually cause damage and irritation later on. It’s important to pay close attention to the ingredients before purchasing a product and to consult an expert if possible, especially if you’re facing specific skin concerns. Since I’ve been seeing quite a few products circulate around social media that have…

September 15, 2021 at 08:00AM If you had asked any beauty insider back in January what the big hair trends for the year ahead would be, it’s unlikely anyone would have said grown-out roots, wonky fringes, and patchy box dye jobs. The Naked Dress Trend Is Now So Naked, It’s Barely There At All

September 15, 2021 at 07:00AM The naked dress trend is back, people, and it’s more naked than ever. While this look doesn’t ever seem to fade away, it’s definitely packing quite the punch for 2021. We’ve seen various iterations of the trend over the years but right now it seems to fit in one of two different camps: a skin-colour bodycon dress or a barely-there dress that’s transparent, sheer, or has strategically placed piece of material, or even a combination of all three. Cher wearing a dress by designer Bob Mackie at the Met Gala in 1974. The naked dress has a long history, of course. Those who are big Cher fans (and who isn’t?) will recall the star’s dedication to creations by designer Bob Mackie, who regularly created risquĂ© items for the singer. Before that, however, there was Marilyn Monroe’s infamous sheer dress she…
