Although there was the return of street style and fashion week parties, a lack of international guests, smaller capacities and financial pressure meant it wasn’t quite business as usual. Many of the big players were missing from the schedule, such as JW Anderson, Christopher Kane and Burberry, and so the week naturally had more of a focus on emerging, young talent. The likes of Rejina Pyo, Nensi Dojaka and Supriya Lele created the standout shows that garnered the most attention.Although the overall schedule felt restrained, the clothes we saw on the runway certainly weren’t, as they felt like an antidote to months of lockdowns and restrictions.
