I Went to H&M, and These 11 Pieces Really Stood Out to Me

November 13, 2021 at 06:00AM It’s been a while since I’ve thoroughly combed through what H&M has to offer, so this week, I visited a few of the stores to get a feel of its new pieces. Having worked in retail for the brand for a couple of years in the past, I noticed that H&M’s style has drastically changed. It used to lean more into bold colours and patterns, but now it’s gravitated towards a more simplistic approach. I was really struck by the dominant neutral colour palette. When it comes to specific categories, its coat game is pretty strong this year. I found myself being drawn to the outerwear pieces the most. It has a good variety when it comes to styles from quilting to more structured tailoring. Here are a few of the current pieces that I would love to add to my wardrobe. This polo-neck…

You can consider this is your ultimate edit and a checklist to keep referencing, rather than a vast, overwhelming, never-ending stream of runway pictures and examples of unrealistic looks that won’t/don’t translate into the majority of wardrobes up and down the country. It’s a gargantuan task, but someone’s got to do it, and who better than a team of editors known for their ability to not only decode trends but predict them too?Traditionally, the darker, colder months are a time for cocooning, but I think we can agree that we’ve all had our fill of that. The short days and chilly temperatures provide us with an opportunity to…

I’m Not a Heels Person, But These ASOS Party Shoes Are Pretty Much Perfect

November 12, 2021 at 11:32AM Even before the slipper-clad months of lockdown, I never would’ve considered myself a ‘heels person’. Yes, I do enjoy a heeled boot during the winter months, but when it comes to needle-thin stilettos and arch-crippling soles, I’m afraid my tolerance is fairly low. This is why shopping for party shoes has become my fashion nemesis, and with my 30th coming up at the end of the month I knew I had to bite the bullet. Thankfully, ASOS saved me a whole lot of grief, as it just created the most perfect pair of party heels.Coming in a classic Mary Jane silhouette, chunky platform heel and high-shine patent finish, these shoes certainly pack a punch. I was worried that they’d look too 'school girlish’, but when styled with sheer tights and a mini dress, they honestly looked so chic. Best of all, I can…

Looking at These 28 Blonde Bobs Made Me Cut My Hair

November 12, 2021 at 08:00AM Being experimental with your hair doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to go all-out with new hues, statement fringing or lashings of layers. Often, the simplest switches make the most impact. Right now, as our strands continue to grow without the prospect of a cut any time soon, it seems everyone is busy dreaming of and mood boarding potential styles to opt for once the salons are back up and running. And, with more time to ponder on and weigh up the pros of a dramatic change, I thought it might be worth sharing my recent experience in hope it might inspire some of you. You see, I recently chopped off my lengthy blonde hair to join the bob/long bob brigade. A few months back, after researching for a feature on blunt bob hairstyles, I convinced myself to go for the chop, which was masterfully created by…

Jeans are one of them, save perhaps on the few days when temperatures are at their highest (and you know how few of those there are). The other is bodysuits. So we thought we’d put these two pieces together to come up with a selection of bodysuit-and-jeans outfits that can take you through the morning, noon and night. The style set has already zeroed in on this formidable pairing and has been wearing their bodysuit-and-jeans outfits with zeal over the last few months. This ÂŁ9 Product Is the Reason Celebrities Always Look So Glowy

November 12, 2021 at 08:00AM When it comes to this time of the year, it’s totally normal for skin to seem seriously dull. In fact, beyond looking a little lacklustre, it could possibly be feeling tight, dry and sore. If there’s one thing that the beauty world is certain of, it’s that cold weather is rarely good news for your complexion. And don’t I know it. Despite the fact the summer months had my skin radiating an out-of-this-world glow, the start of winter had me sporting a drab, lacklustre and seriously distressed face.At the start of the season, as I emptied out the contents of my makeup bag in the search for any kind of illuminating product to pour over my face/bathe in, I couldn’t help but wonder if my skin would ever get its glow back. Sure, I could slather my cheekbones…

These Cool Platforms Are Everywhere I Look, and I’d Really Like a Pair

November 12, 2021 at 08:00AM Until December 2019, according to Google Trends, there were next to no searches in the UK for the shoe brand Nodaleto. But then, an explosion: In January of 2020, Bella Hadid stepped out wearing a pair of knee-high, platform-soled boots from the French label, and suddenly the world tuned in and started investigating. The truth is fashion people had already clocked the emergence of this brand and its signature curved platforms. It was the first time in a long time that single-sole, dainty heels were being questioned as the most on-trend option, and you could say that this niche collection of Mary Janes and boots has paved the way for a full-blown stacked-shoe revival. Not only was the aesthetic entirely in check, but the agenda-setting “souliers” brand was created by Julia Toledano, the daughter of Sidney Toledano, the CEO of LVMH, so there…
