The In-the-Know Brand That Is Going to be Big in 2022

December 22, 2021 at 06:00AM It was a single coat by Swedish fashion label Rave Review that first caught the attention of the Who What Wear editors back in 2019. Coming in a traditional plaid check in rich autumnal hues of red, yellow and green, we were struck by its originality that somehow felt both nostalgic and innovative—and that was before we knew it had been made out of old blankets. We couldn’t quite believe that anything that chic could have been upcycled. It quickly won-over the fashion elite with its bold patchworked designs and radical production methods that saw pieces crafted out of deadstock fabrics (including bed sheets, blankets and scarves) and second-hand clothes. While the brand’s plaid blanket coats have become a signature, each collection is eclectic is its…

This Is the One Hair Trick That’ll Hold Your Waves All Night

December 22, 2021 at 06:00AM Until maybe two years ago, no matter what I used to curl or wave my hair, I could not get the style to stick around for longer than a couple of hours. It was such an issue, and no matter if my hair was relaxed, natural and pressed, or in a weave, the wave would always drop. I Predict That in 2022 Everyone Will Dress Like It’s 2002

December 21, 2021 at 08:00AM Each season as fashion month begins, editors, influencers and fashion enthusiasts are bombarded with new-season styles. With four separate cities putting on events and several shows each day, there’s a veritable banquet of looks and designers to keep track of. And while newness is, of course, the name of the game, this season, I found myself experiencing a recurring sense of déjà vu.In New York, Milan and Paris, several designers and brands sent looks down the runway which felt oddly familiar, immediately conjuring up nostalgia for the early 2000s. Miu Miu created barely-there miniskirts adorned with box pleats and thin belts, a look which Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and every other Y2K It girl heavily invested in back in 2002. Cargo trousers (yes, cargo trousers!) were back on the agenda at Tom Ford, validating the questionable fashion choices I made as a…
