Hailey Bieber Just Wore This Year’s *It* Sneakers With Under-£70 Leggings

January 14, 2022 at 06:50AM Leave it to Hailey Bieber to transform the groutfit (that’s fashion speak for “grey outfit”) into the season’s most covetable and copy-worthy look. This weekend, the supermodel joined Bella Hadid at a Pilates class in Los Angeles, where she debuted a monochrome grey fitness look that we’ll be copying for the remainder of winter, both in and out of the gym. To the class, Bieber wore a grey knit puffer from Prada (nice!), which she paired with a matching sports bra, Alo leggings (which just so happen to be on sale right now for under £70), and the New Balance x Aimé Leon Dore 550 sneakers that everyone—and we mean everyone—is trying to get their hands on. She also added a pair of DMY by DMY red-lensed sunglasses and a diamond body chain by Jacquie Aiche. Well, those and a pair of white athletic socks, of course. Though this is certainly…

This Under-£400 Tote Is the Best Designer Bag I’ve Ever Bought

January 14, 2022 at 07:00AM As a shopping editor, one question I’m asked more than any other is which designer bags are actually worth the investment? Of course, it is a question with many avenues, and the answer will vary massively according to your budget, wardrobe requirements and taste. However, if you’re a natural bargain hunter as I am, you’ll appreciate pieces that offer the most bang for your buck, which is why this season, JW Anderson’s felt tote has shot straight to the top of my lust list. I’ve always loved JW Anderson’s experimental spin on womenswear design, but as is the case with many cult fashion brands, the bags on offer come at a premium. But then along came this sub-£400 gem. Of course, I should acknowledge that the term “affordable” is relative, but in the world of designer bags, £375 is definitely on the lower end of the spectrum. (Also, for transparency, I…

We Just Tried the £400 Dyson Hair Straightener, and These Are Our Honest Reviews

January 14, 2022 at 06:30AM If you’re not overly familiar with Dyson haircare, let me offer you a brief overview. Back in 2016, the brand, previously known for crafting high-end vacuum cleaners, hand driers, and fans, launched into beauty with the Supersonic Hair Dryer (£300). It promised intense power with minimal noise and, most importantly, minimal heat damage. Then, two years later in 2018, it released potentially one of the most innovative hair tools that the industry had ever seen: the Airwrap (£450), a multi-use tool (again with minimal heat) that offers a full blow-dry experience at home by utilising an air-flow Coanda effect for bouncy curls. In short, Dyson’s track record means that when the brand talks we listen. A small caveat, however, is that Dyson haircare products are exceptionally expensive. The Supersonic will set you back a cool £300, while the Airwrap varies in price from £400 to £450, depending…

24 Winter Coats That Understood the Chic-But-Affordable Assignment

January 14, 2022 at 06:03AM When it comes to adding new items to our wardrobe, none go through the same level of scrutiny that we put coats through. We want them to be versatile, look good, feelgood and elevate whatever we choose to wear underneath. That’s a lot. Throw adhering to a budget into the mix, and it might sound like you’re setting yourself up for failure—that it would be impossible to find a coat that ticks all of these boxes. Thankfully, I’ve always liked a challenge. Call it stubbornness or overconfidence, but I was sure I could find at last a handful of coats that fit the above brief—and, when I put my mind to it, I found 24 of them, which I’ve outlined for you below. My edit features coats that understood the assignment. Chic without being bank account–busting, every coat you see…

4 Interesting Ways To Wear a Striped Jumper

January 14, 2022 at 06:00AM There’s something so satisfying about when a true wardrobe classic is heralded a ‘trend’ on any given season. This essentially means that the item is, most likely, already sitting in your wardrobe and that its renewed energy will yield plenty of fresh outfit inspiration for the year ahead. This season, this has manifested in the humble Breton knit. Embraced by the likes of Celine and Toteme, the Breton 2.0 is defined by its stunning simplicity: The timeless cream, white and navy colourways, the lack of adornment, and the clean silhouettes that are usually reserved for menswear. Naturally, the high-street has followed suit, with Arket, & Other Stories and COS all offering up striped styles that have garnered their own cult following. In Lyst’s 2021 Year in Fashion Report, & Other Stories’s sellout striped knit was even highlighted as one of the year’s 'most wanted products’. “Searches similar to the retailer’s minimalist-leaning striped…

After Hours in French Pharmacies, I Can Confirm These 10 Products Are Magic

January 14, 2022 at 06:00AM A few weeks ago, I spent a very long weekend in Paris, which is one of my all-time favourite cities! As you can imagine, my trip was spent eating my way through the city, but I also spent a lot of time exploring the French pharmacies. While I'm fortunate enough to write about beauty on a weekly basis, I still somehow never get bored of discovering new products, and that’s exactly what I set out to do in my time in France. While rummaging through the pharmacy shelves, I found many products that I had heard of before and that are currently available in the UK, such as La Roche-Posay and Caudalie. But I also discovered several less familiar brands, including Horace, a Parisian natural skincare and grooming brand for men, and Rouje, a chic Parisian fashion and beauty brand that I’d seen all over Instagram but never in real…

36 Iconic 1980s Fashion Moments We Never Want to Forget

January 14, 2022 at 05:57AM When it comes to ‘80s fashion, we have a (surprising) amount to be thankful for. While the decade previously hadn’t influenced our wardrobes for a long time, in recent years, we’ve come to the realisation that all the most current trends today are courtesy of the '80s. Now, if you’re not too familiar with the nuances of this era, there are a few standout looks we’re sure you’ll recognise: big shoulders, white jeans, underwear as outerwear and oversize jewellery. It was the decade of the power dresser but also of punks. It gave us Madonna, Sade, Tina Turner and Cher, plus numerous other superstars whose sense of style influences many right now.Don’t believe us? From the fact that Princess Diana’s archive is inspiring some of the world’s most influential designers to the more basic resurgence in women wearing blazers with…

Megan Fox Just Got Engaged to Machine Gun Kelly With This Unexpected Ring Trend

January 13, 2022 at 09:00AM Congratulations are in order: Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are officially engaged. Luckily for us, they recorded the whole thing on video, and it’s just too cute for words. During the proposal under a tree that holds a special meaning in their relationship, Fox was wearing a cutout bra top and black maxi skirt. You didn’t expect her to be in sweats, did you?Now for the best part: The huge engagement ring was custom-designed by Machine Gun Kelly with sweet symbolism. “I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birthstone) and the diamond (my birthstone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love,” he said in his Instagram caption. The double-stone ring trend is getting increasingly…
