Everyone I Know With Amazing Skin Uses This One Scientific Product

February 08, 2022 at 08:00AM From bakuchiol to CBD, 2021 has already seen it’s fair share of trending skincare ingredients, and I’ve tried them all. From overcoming my resistance to retinol to embracing a more pared-back approach to my skincare routine, I love experimenting to work out which ingredients are truly worth putting on my skin. There’s one key ingredient, however, that I’ve wholly neglected to sing the praises of this year. Despite using it every single day in my own routine, this ingredient has been somewhat overlooked in favour of the buzzy new launches that have been leading the way. Yet ask anyone with amazing skin which scientific ingredient it is that they swear by, and I guarantee it will be this one.The ingredient in question? Vitamin C. Also known as ascorbic acid, vitamin C might not be anything new, but it’s certainly a bit of a wonder ingredient if you aren’t…

The 8 Biggest Handbag Trends We’re Bookmarking for 2022

Here’s What a Dermatologist Really Thinks About These 6 Viral Skincare Products

February 08, 2022 at 08:00AM While social media can be a hub for all things fashion and beauty, skincare is a topic that can get a little tricky, especially when certain products start to trend. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been guilty of succumbing to a viral product only to be disappointed when it didn’t exactly work for my skin. While following trends for clothes and makeup can be an easier feat, with skincare, it’s crucial to be cautious because what works for others may not work for you, and some products may seem like they’re working but can actually cause damage and irritation later on. It’s important to pay close attention to the ingredients before purchasing a product and to consult an expert if possible, especially if you’re facing specific skin concerns. Since I’ve been seeing quite a few products circulate around social media that have…

Kendall Jenner Wore the Teeny-Tiny Clothing Trend That’ll Be Massive This Year

February 08, 2022 at 08:00AM Kendall Jenner, top model and Fwrd’s creative director, knows more about fashion trends than the average person. In fact, she’s responsible for setting many of them, so it was no surprise when she stepped out for an event (celebrating Fai Khadra’s collaboration with Oliver Peoples) earlier this week wearing one that’s going to be everywhere in 2022: a micro miniskirt.Back in October when the S/S 22 collections debuted, the super-short skirt trend heated up runways of Miu Miu, Missoni, Knwls, and Blumarine, to name a few. It’s the latest in a long string of revived Y2K trends, and Jenner’s take on it was especially polished. She paired a tiny leather skirt with a camel top and long-sleeve mock-neck, completing the look with a pair of knee boots. (If you’re not sure how to approach styling such a short skirt,…

5 Products Every 40-Something Should Start Using, According to Skin Experts

February 08, 2022 at 08:00AM It’s no secret that the skin’s ageing process differs from person to person. While some people might start forming wrinkles in their late twenties, others might remain youthful and wrinkle-free until they hit 50. Skin ageing is a fact of life, and while genetics and lifestyle choices might delay the effects, at some point, it will catch up with you. And for most of us, this happens at some point in our forties. “Unless you’ve struggled with a specific skin condition like acne or psoriasis, during your twenties and thirties, you skin is likely to have been ticking along nicely, living off its own elasticity and hydration,” explains skincare specialist Jane Scrivner. So what exactly happens when we hit our forties? “It’s time to start replacing what your skin is losing during the ageing process. Your forties are the time to put…

Top Hairstylists Have Spoken—These Are the Best Cuts for Every Face Shape

February 08, 2022 at 08:00AM Within the ever-colliding stratospheres of fashion and beauty, “rules” have become a bit passĂ©, if not obsolete altogether. Gone are the days when we’d refuse to wear white after Labor Day or dismiss navy and black as an ill-conceived colour pairing. Currently, we feel inspired to dye our hair a demurely shocking shade of lavender. A hot-pink eyelid is cooler than yesteryear’s smoked-out cat eye, and we’re even experimenting with crystal-studded manicures and cute-but-clashing polish shades. Our point? It’s an exciting time to be in fashion and beauty, and more so than ever before, our hair, makeup and fashion aesthetic reflect that.Hair, especially, has been the comeback kid of 2021. Previously old-fashioned styles like the mullet have been artistically resurrected, and we currently own more scrunchies, hair claws and butterfly clips than we did circa 1999. Impressive. That said, one…

H&M’s Wide-Leg Trousers Have Incredible Reviews, so I Tried Them All

February 08, 2022 at 08:00AM When a high street item starts garnering a certain amount of hype, it seriously piques our interest here at Who What Wear. That’s what happened recently, anyway, when word got around about how great H&M’s wide-leg trousers were. Last year we sold over 1000 pairs through the site and after delving deeper we realised that most styles were consistently receiving incredible reviews online. So, of course, we had to see how good they were for ourselves. I was tasked with trying on as many pairs as I could get my hands on (harder than it sounds when they fly out of stock as quickly as they do), firstly to see whether they lived up to expectations, and secondly which styles in particular were worth spending money on. Turns out those reviewers weren’t wrong, and there were quite a few brilliant ones. But the…
