Things I’ve learned from diets I’ve tried

Things I’ve learned from diets I’ve triedApril 19, 2022 at 11:25AM Hi friends! How’s the week going so far? I hope you’re having a great morning. I’m excited for an F45 class and some adventures with the crew – I’m so happy the kids are off school this week! For today’s post, I wanted to look back at some of the eating styles and diets I’ve tried and what I learned from them. Of course, if reading about this topic is triggering or uncomfortable for you, please skip this post and I’ll see ya in the am. When I first embarked on my weight loss and health journey in college, I tried a lot of different things and quickly realized they weren’t the right fit for me. I’ll never forget drinking a WARM Slim Fast shake after finishing a philanthropy event for school.…

My (updated) Rent the Runway Unlimited review

My (updated) Rent the Runway Unlimited reviewApril 11, 2022 at 04:06PM I originally wrote about Rent the Runway services in a 2016 post. I wanted to write an updated review that included my experiences with Rent the Runway Unlimited, so here are my full thoughts! Hi friends! Happy Monday! How was the weekend? I hope you had a great one! The girls had double birthday parties, movie night at their school, soccer game, dance, and we met up with friends for dinner at the pool. It was a jam-packed weekend but so full of fun activities and chance to see friends. I got exactly zero chores done around the house and it was 100% worth it. I also slept for 9 hours on Friday AND Saturday night, so my battery is recharged and ready for another busy week ahead. I hope you had…

Friday Faves

Friday FavesApril 08, 2022 at 11:25AM Hi hi! Happy Friday!! What’s going on this weekend? This week has been a blur between returning from California and solo parenting. The Pilot headed straight from our trip to Dallas for the week, so I’m looking forward to having him home again! He’s taking the girls to a birthday party on Saturday while I snuggle under a blanket and watch Brigerton. I can’t even wait haha. What are you up to? We have another bday party Sunday, an event at the girls school, and I’m going to try to get in a hike. I’m trying to hike as much as possible before it’s 100 degrees around here. Something exciting: I have something for ya! I wanted to create a download with Mia with some of our top health tips and resources, and 17 pages later, here…

What I’ve read lately

What I’ve read latelyApril 05, 2022 at 05:33PM Sharing my recent reads and if I’d recommend them! Hey hey! How’s the day going?? We’re back in Tucson and back in the swing of life around here. We had the BEST time and it felt so good to enjoy some Disney time, and be back in San Diego! (We drive by our San Diego house every time we’re in town and it definitely makes us nostalgic.) For today’s post, I’m sharing a book recap of what I’ve read lately and what’s next on my list. I’ve read some amazing books over the past couple of months, and I’m pumped to share them with you. The Paris Apartment: this book BLEW ME AWAY. I usually avoid thriller-type books because I don’t want to read anything violent before bed, but I’ve found that I really like…

The best (and worst) cooking oils

The best (and worst) cooking oilsApril 04, 2022 at 11:54AM Want to know which oils are best for cooking? You’ll find out here, along with some basic oil-cooking tips. Hey friends! We’ve in California for one more day and enjoying some adventures – I’ll be back soon with a recap! In the meantime, I wanted to share this post after a question I received last week. I asked Mia to help with this post and we’re chatting alllllllll about cooking oils: which ones we tend to avoid, and our go-to oils. The best (and worst) cooking oils There are SO many different types of cooking oils on the shelves, and it can be confusing to decide which one is the best choice for health, taste, and also for what you’re cooking. Everywhere you turn it seems that there are mixed opinions and research.…
