With a dress code centered on the theme of American Independence, corresponding with the Met’s In America: A Lexicon of Fashion exhibit, the gala showcased the very best of American fashion and all the different meanings that “Americana” can take. Though some stars took a subtler approach, there were a handful of celebs who absolutely understood the assignment and soared bald-eagle-style above the rest! The up-and-coming model just signed with IMG Models in February and is already out here making statements on red carpets. On Monday night, the 18-year-old wore a dramatic ‘60s-inspired look by Connor Ives, a creation that will also be on display at the Met’s “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” exhibition. The rising star wore Chanel for her fashion debut at the Met’s Costume Institute Benefit Gala under the theme “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”.
