Karrueche Tran’s Skirt Was a Broken-Down Blazer Held Together by 1 Single Button

October 14, 2021 at 05:05PM In a sea of celebrities in Hollywood, be like Karrueche Tran and let loose on the red carpet. On Oct. 13, the actress and model attended the premiere of Netflix’s The Harder They Fall in Los Angeles where she exuded confidence and fabulousness in a sexy black-and-white set from Lionne Clothing. Karrueche’s ensemble was right off the brand’s FW21 RTW runway, and she brought the outfit to life with her poses and ear-to-ear smiles. The asymmetrical cropped Naomi Top resembled a broken-down blazer with a white trim. She paired the top with the matching Naomi Skirt, which was held together by a button and a high slit up the side. The outfit was a super cool spin on a suit making it the perfect red carpet ‘fit. It’s clear that Karrueche’s a big fan of the brand, as…

Winnie Harlow Wears a Versace Blazer as a Minidress, and Hemlines Are Rising Everywhere

October 14, 2021 at 04:22PM Winnie Harlow was among the many stars to show up for Netflix’s The Harder They Fall premiere in LA on Oct. 13. (Yes, Beyoncé was there to support husband JAY-Z, who has a producing credit on the film, although she didn’t walk the red carpet.) Winnie, on the other hand, made quite the statement in a black double-breasted leather Versace blazer, which nipped in at the waist and doubled as a minidress that she teamed with crystal-studded fishnet tights. Winnie played up the sparkle with embellished satin square-toe pumps and gold jewelry, including ridged hoops and a thin choker in the brand’s signature Greca pattern. The look had a ‘90s feel, and with fellow stars Kehlani in baggy cargos, Teyana Taylor in Rick Owens high-tops, and Karrueche in a miniskirt, it hit right on the money. Read on…

’80s Brand Behind Princess Diana’s Sheep Sweater Launches a New Collection For the Festive Season

October 14, 2021 at 02:15PM Much like in the 1980s, Princess Diana’s iconic sheep jumper has made an impression on winter 2021 style. Following a successful collaboration with clothing brand Rowling Blazers in October 2020, Warm & Wonderful is relaunching its dedicated shopfront online. The brand is offering its signature black sheep print in new colors of “Primrose Hill Pink” and “Bowie Blue” to expand on the existing collection of “Diana Red” and “Original Green.” Warm & Wonderful is also adding accessories, loungewear, and homeware that makes for stylish festive gifting. Founded by Sally Muir and Joanna Osborne in 1979, Warm & Wonderful first appeared at a market stall in Covent Garden when the friends were 28 years old. “We quickly became known for our sheep sweaters - wool jumpers covered with rows of little white sheep, and one proverbial ‘black sheep’,” the…

Welcome to Our Forever Love Affair With Brown Monochrome Outfits

October 13, 2021 at 11:50PM Brown is such a sumptuous color, it has become something of a fixture in our closets. There’s just something about a brown satin skirt or a pair of chocolate-colored leather pants that looks so rich, we make it a goal to incorporate these layers into our wardrobe. It appeals to maximalists and minimalists alike, and when brown separates are combined into a monochrome look, now that’s a sartorial delight. The key to mastering a monochrome moment is to vary the fabrics, shades, and silhouettes of the separates. Sure, it sounds easier said than done, but fret not because we included some styling options ahead. Whether it’s a corset top tucked into wide-leg trousers or a midi knit dress worn under a dramatic trench coat, the magic is in creating visual contrast that adds interest and allows individual pieces…

17 Interesting and Creative Ways to Approach Turtleneck Dressing This Fall

October 13, 2021 at 09:38PM The turtleneck has been reinterpreted so many different ways through the years, but one thing remains constant: it’s a foundation piece for your wardrobe. No matter what details come into play - is yours ribbed? Is it thin enough to layer beneath a button-down? Does it have cutouts or an avant-garde shape that classifies it as more of a statement piece? - the turtleneck is a basic you start with. Lately, we’ve adopted ultra-cropped variations and sheer, mesh styles into our closets in an effort to channel the ‘90s, but there are so many other interesting ways to wear and layer your standard turtleneck if you haven’t been sweater shopping in a while. All the outfits we curated below are on trend for the season, and you can pull most of them off with clothing you already own.…

We Need to Keep Talking About the Lack of Size Diversity at Paris Fashion Week

October 13, 2021 at 08:35PM From memorable celebrity sightings (Hi Cardi B, Halle Bailey, Blackpink’s Jisoo, and Lori Harvey) to the chicest street style moments, Paris Fashion Week gave us plenty to rave about. Not to mention the highly photographed runways of enviable looks that set the trends we will soon welcome into our spring wardrobes. What was noticeably missing from the runway is a representation of different body types. While we saw everything from a ‘60s comeback with Dior’s party-ready ensembles to a y2K revival with Blumarine’s low-rise jeans and tiny cardigans, what was noticeably missing from the runway is a representation of different body types. We spotted Precious Lee at Lanvin and Balmain, Devyn Garcia at Chloé, and Paloma Elsesser at Chloé and Coperni, but these instances of plus-size visibility were few and far between, almost bordering on tokenism. Too many…

From The Perfect Denim To Everyday Accessories – These Latinx Fashion Brands Have It All

October 13, 2021 at 08:25PM We all have those tried and true household fashion brands we love to shop, but if diving into the interwebs as a fashion editor, or even simply as a fashion enthusiast teaches you anything, its that there are a wealth of smaller or new brands to discover. When you find them, they’re oftentimes so good they’re just begging to be shared. The unfortunate nature of the fashion industry is that small brands and minority-owned brands often go hand and hand due to the lack of exposure for them. But underexposure (which we’re here to change), is not to be confused with lesser quality – in fact, there’s a long list of Latinx-owned fashion brands you shouldn’t go another day without knowing. While it may be Latinx Heritage month, brands helmed by Brown creatives deserve a spot in your…

Insecure Season 5 Is Already Giving Us Some Serious Outfit Inspiration, and It’s Not Even On Yet

October 13, 2021 at 07:40PM Issa’s romantic life - not to mention her friendship with Molly - hangs in the balance as we head into the fifth and final season of Insecure. We’re not exactly OK with waiting it out (why does Oct. 24 still feel so far away?), but comforted by the fact that we are getting a sneak peek at Issa, Molly, Kelli, and Tiffany’s latest looks. In new stills from the show, we’re treated to a glimpse of the girls, styled in easy takes on denim, a sporty tracksuit and fresh plaid for Issa, and new Bottega for Molly. These covetable, albeit relatable looks are another testament to the expertise of costume designer Shiona Turini, who takes the helm of the show’s wardrobe again for the last season. Inside, you can expect more of the contemporary cool, high-low mix Shiona’s…
