Megan Fox and Kourtney Kardashian Are Giving Us Vampire Girlfriend Realness in Skims Campaign

September 22, 2021 at 10:12PM One fact about Kim Kardashian: her Skims campaigns never miss. The shapewear brand’s latest cotton collection restock was no exception. Founder Kim K called upon the internet’s favourite punk-rock girlfriends — her sister Kourtney Kardashian and Megan Fox — to star in it. The new images have us absolutely shook. The Skims campaign, shot by Donna Trope, was released on September 22, and shows Fox and Kardashian in their fully realized vampire-girlfriend states. Sporting long, dark hair, matching dark green nails and dressed in all-black pieces from the collection, the two are giving us unmistakable goth vibes. Recyclable Sneaker Brand Thousand Fell Comes to Canada

September 22, 2021 at 09:45PM Thousand Fell, a NYC-based brand, says it has created the world’s “first recyclable sneaker.” Made of materials like upcycled clothing, plastic water bottles and even food waste, the brand has filled a gap in the notoriously wasteful footwear industry. The minimalistic vegan shoes have generated a lot of buzz and racked up hefty waitlists — and as of September 22, they’re available in Canada, too. Chloe Songer and Stuart Ahlum founded the online sneaker brand in 2018, and have since seen strong demand from the Canadian market — specifically in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal and Edmonton. The founders had hoped to make the brand available in Canada from the start, Songer tells FASHION, but it’s been challenging to figure out the logistics for the brand’s “take back” business model. When customers are done with the shoes, the brand…

Our Favourite Comfortable Lingerie to Wear for Fall

September 22, 2021 at 09:24PM As we slowly venture out during this new “normal” phase of the pandemic, the reality of dressing for life outside our living rooms may have some of us less enthusiastic than we’d like to admit. “Hard pants,” heels and bras just aren’t as cozy as sweats, sneakers and going au naturel. (Who needs ’em, anyway, right?) But at least there are now more comfortable underwear and lingerie lines that want us to forget we’re wearing anything at all. Australian brand Sevinge is known for using soft, luxury fabrics to embrace your natural body shape, while Canadian label Hidden Lingerie provides comfortable options for those with Crohn’s disease and colitis. Fan-favourite Knix recently launched leakproof boxers for those who want more coverage during that time of the month, and Cuup has introduced new colourways to their best-selling style. From mesh bralettes…

The Best Street Style Inspo from London Fashion Week

September 22, 2021 at 07:17PM It’s hard to put into words what makes British fashion so quintessentially cool, and London street style is no exception. Fashionistas flocked to the cobblestone streets before and after various spring 2022 fashion week events in flashes of neon, relaxed suiting and sensible footwear. Brown and green were favourites among the crowd with beige bottoms and emerald sweaters were as far as the eye could see. Brightly coloured bulbous gowns were also a focal point as many influencers could be seen posing “candidly” around corners immersed in highlighter hues. But perhaps what the Brits do best is their tailoring, as demonstrated by the hordes of casual suits that appeared throughout the week. Giving the traditional garments an editorial upgrade, stylish men and women strutted down the streets in effortlessly cool ensembles, experimenting with silhouettes, colour, and texture. Plus,…

September 22, 2021 at 06:19PM Visual storytelling is a powerful tool — and thankfully, it’s no longer just for the pros. The new lineup is available September 24, and includes the brand’s biggest camera advancements ever. Sarain Fox, an Anishinaabekwe activist, filmmaker and content creator from Batchewana First Nation, was one of the first people in Canada to test the new iPhones. Fox tells FASHION about the inspiration behind the stunning visuals she captured, some tips on how to use the new iPhone cameras, and the power of storytelling. Capturing the beauty of Indigenous womanhood Fox recently headed back to Batchewana First Nation on the rugged shores of Lake Superior to visit her mother…

Inside Josie Ho’s Hat-Filled Wardrobe

September 22, 2021 at 02:30PM Sometimes I’m afraid to show my huge personality,” says Josie Ho. “I feel like I might speak the wrong word during conversations, but I’m slowly growing out of it.” It’s an unanticipated statement coming from someone who exists in the extroverted orbit of entertainment. But Ho — a singer, film company co-owner and actor whose appearance in this summer’s period drama Edge of the World cemented her status as one to watch in the cinematic sphere — seems to relish in surprising others. Photography by KIUPerhaps that’s why she has such an enormous assortment of hats; they allow her to bounce from one personal character to the next with ease. And glamour and intrigue have been part of her life all along. As the daughter of a casino magnate, Ho recalls observing how Hong Kong’s “show business divas…

I Tried a Dermatological Anti-Aging Correcting Serum for a Week

September 21, 2021 at 01:00PM I’d never been concerned about aging. Getting older somehow made me feel more sophisticated rather than outdated, in part because I’d grown accustomed to everyone guessing I was 5-10 years younger than my age. That is, until my best friend turned 40—a year before me—and someone was surprised she was my senior. I was in denial, when I took a closer look and realized the wrinkles on my forehead and deep laugh lines were telling a different story than the one in my mind. Where had they come from all of sudden? The last three years have been tough, leaving behind my life, business and family in Trinidad and Tobago for a new country, which was quickly followed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The stress manifested emotionally and physically, in fairly severe adult acne. Determined to return to a…

Law Roach Is the Moment

September 20, 2021 at 10:37PM Nowadays, it’s unlikely to come across a best-dressed list that doesn’t feature a look styled by Law Roach. The self-proclaimed “image architect” has racked up an extensive roster of high-profile clients, who, thanks to him, are consistently on point in fashion masterpieces. As a result, Roach’s name has become a staple at large-scale celebrity events, where his eye for style is highly favoured. As Zendaya’s longtime stylist, we have Roach to credit for the star’s consistently daring ensembles, like her 2021 BET Awards archival Versace look that paid tribute to none other than Beyoncé. Most recently, Roach styled Kerry Washington in a sleek silver custom Etro dress for the 2021 Emmy awards. He’s also responsible for Anya Taylor-Joy’s vintage-inspired Dior gown for the Emmys that was accentuated with $800,000 worth of Tiffany & Co. jewellery — NBD. law…
