Kate Middleton was the True Bond Girl at the Premiere for No Time to Die

September 29, 2021 at 08:32PM Leave it to Kate Middleton to show up at the No Time to Die premiere and steal the proverbial thunder from all its stars. For release of the fifth James Bond film starring Daniel Craig, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge graced us with their presence on the red carpet. While the film stars came to slay — Ana de Armas and LĂ©a Seydoux both sparkled in Louis Vuitton and Chopard, Daniel Craig donned a pink suede jacket, and Lashana Lynch wore a Vivienne Westwood ensemble — Kate Middleton outdid them all in a golden Jenny Packham gown. Clearly, this Royal has missed dressing up. Someone Get Cardi B a Sword Because Her Vintage Mugler Dress Is Made For a Fashion Battle

September 29, 2021 at 08:15PM Strap on your heels and touch up your lip gloss because Cardi B came ready to battle at Paris Fashion Week this year. After turning heads in a feathery red dress from the 1995 Mugler fall couture collection, Cardi executed another showstopping entrace outside her hotel in France, and the corset on her most recent gown basically doubles as a suit of armor. Like a vision of Catwoman ready for the red carpet, Cardi came prepared in a 1997 Mugler spring dress with a mesh floor-length skirt. Over the skirt, the textured bustier was layered like the panels on a knight’s armor and lined with feather trim. The outfit even comes equipped with removable sleeves - ya know, in case the need to strike a pose became critical. While the look, styled by Kollin Carter, seemed to be…

How to Support Indigenous Communities on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 29, 2021 at 07:05PM Content warning: This story discusses residential schools and violence against Indigenous people. Canada’s Residential School Survivors and Family Crisis Line is available 24 hours a day at 1-866-925-4419. In 1973, a six-year-old Phyllis Webstad was preparing for her first day at St. Joseph’s Mission Residential School in British Columbia. In anticipation of the big day, her grandmother took to buy a new outfit. She picked out a bright, shiny orange shirt, which matched the excitement she felt to be going to school. But when she arrived at the Mission, she was stripped of her own clothes and her orange shirt was taken from her, never to be seen again. Webstad, a Northern Secwpemc (Shuswap) from the Stswecem’c Xgat’tem First Nation, is one of many survivors of Canada’s residential school system. In 2013, she founded Orange Shirt Day, recognized on…

H.E.R. Just Wants the Music to Come First

September 29, 2021 at 06:01PM When it comes to music, there doesn’t seem to be anything American R&B singer-songwriter H.E.R. (nĂ©e Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson) can’t do. The 24-year-old artist has a series of hit EPs and a successful album (the much-anticipated Back of My Mind dropped earlier this year) to her name, has performed at the Super Bowl and has already won four Grammys and an Oscar. But when it came to performing a full-length concert with an actual audience for the first time in about a year and half, how did she feel? “Nervous. I was so nervous,” she says, her laugh echoing out over the video chat. When we connect, it’s the day after H.E.R. had just performed two nights at the Hollywood Bowl alongside the Los Angeles Philharmonic, showing off her talents with rearranged versions of some of her greatest hits. “I…

Suni Lee Just Wore the Cutest Pink Dress, but Her Gold-Medal Heels Are the Real Star

September 29, 2021 at 05:35PM View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sunisa Lee (@sunisalee) We may be used to seeing Suni Lee in leos and track jackets, but turns out, she looks just as fabulous in streetwear and dressy outfits. The elite gymnast sported the cutest number while out and about in Los Angeles: a bright-pink Rebecca Vallance dress with an open back and an adorable giant bow. With the help of stylist Gabriela Tena, she paired the look with a gold nylon Prada purse, heart-shaped jewelry from Retrouvaí and L'atelier Nawbar, and chain heels from Kat Maconie that remind us of little gold medals. While Suni’s currently busy casually crushing Dancing With the Stars, it looks like she’s still honoring her Olympic win - as she should! The Olympian shared photos of the gorgeous outfit on Instagram on Thursday,…

The Duchess of Cambridge Just Wore the Most Daring Colour Trend

September 29, 2021 at 04:55PM One would never really describe Kate Middleton’s style as divisive or challenging. She is the pied piper of pretty. She is the leader when it comes to lovely dresses and delightful coats. More often than not, she plays it safe in her favourite pumps and beloved trinket jewellery. It’s all par for the royal course, we know, but every now and then, the Duchess of Cambridge goes through a more daring streak and when it happens, you can be sure that our editors become available to pore over every detail. Hot on the heels of a rather “wow” appearance last night for the premiere of the latest Bond movie, No Time to Die, the DoC followed up her stellar golden caped gown from Jenny Packham with another British designer today. Choosing a vibrant purple trouser suit from Emilia Wickstead was an inspired and rather bold move…
