7 “New” Trends That Were Due for a Comeback

October 18, 2021 at 05:03AM The sayings everything comes back around and that everything new is old certainly apply to fashion. We doubt that there’s any designer among us who doesn’t extensively look through archives when working on a new collection, and those trends hit the catwalk then trickle down to fast fashion. The point is pretty much any “new” trend is at least an iteration of one we’ve seen before. This phenomenon is something that most fashion lovers actually appreciate. Dressing like Brigitte Bardot or Bianca Jagger without looking like we’re in costume is something we can get behind. If it feels like there are a lot of comeback trends at the moment, you’re not wrong, and we’re not exactly sure why this is. Every decade from the ‘60s to the early 2000s is cool again all at the same time, and it’s leading to quite an eclectic mix…

Kourtney Kardashian’s Engagement Ring From Travis Barker Is, Indeed, Enormous

October 18, 2021 at 04:27AM Image Source: Getty / Gotham/GC Images Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker were officially engaged on the beach in Montecito, CA at the Rosewood Miramar Hotel. After Travis popped the question by the ocean - inside a heart-shaped arrangement of red roses, mind you - family and friends on site enjoyed what appeared to be an intimate dinner, where Barker’s daughter Alabama photographed Kourtney’s ring. The sparkler appears to be oval shaped, oversized, and incredibly eye-catching, affixed to a thin gold band that definitely accentuates the size of the diamond. Kourtney was wearing a black, wispy off-the-shoulder dress with a black manicure to match - a minimal combination so that all focus was, inevitably, on her new jewelry. But with a ring that massive, she could have worn one of Kim’s lacy, hot pink Balenciaga playsuits, and our eyes…

Emma Watson Hits the Red Carpet For the First Time in Ages in Gender Fluid Label Harris Reed

October 18, 2021 at 01:17AM Though it’s been a minute since actor and climate activist Emma Watson has attended a public event, we never doubted she’d dress to impress when the opportunity came. After all, this is the woman who walked the stairs of the Met Gala in a Calvin Klein look made of plastic water bottles in 2016 - and there are so many designers just starting to shift their focus to sustainable practices now, in 2021! Speaking of wearing clothes that matter, Watson chose an incredible Harris Reed combination for this event - the green carpet at the Earthshot Prize awards ceremony in London - where she presented onstage. Once again, Emma did her red carpet research. Harris Reed, who attended the 2021 Met Gala with the great supermodel Iman in September, is focused on fighting for the beauty of fluidity…

See That Coat Dress? Beyoncé Demonstrates Exactly How to Nail a Fall Wedding Guest Look

October 17, 2021 at 06:06PM If I’m ever invited to a glamorous European wedding of royal caliber, I’ll be wearing exactly what BeyoncĂ© wore to celebrate Alexandre Arnault and Geraldine Guyot’s nuptials in Venice, Italy, on Oct. 16. With styling help from KJ Moody, the singer chose a chic wool coat dress from Dolce & Gabbana to wear over an ocean-blue cowl-neck slip dress, which she paired with matching heels and a studded Marzook purse resembling a crystal ball. JAY-Z complemented BeyoncĂ©’s gorgeous coat moment with a double-breasted suit of his own from the Phineas Cole collection at Paul Stuart, styled by June Ambrose. In addition to the power duo, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, and Roger Federer were also in attendance at the luxe ceremony. See more photos of BeyoncĂ© and JAY-Z’s regal wedding guest looks ahead. Everyone’s Buzzing About This £280 Serum, But Is It Really Worth the Hype?

October 17, 2021 at 10:00AM As a beauty lover long before becoming a beauty journalist, I have fond memories of saving up my weekly college money and heading to Superdrug and Boots on my lunches with my twin sister to check out (and ultimately buy) the latest makeup and skincare products on offer. There was something about it that would give me the biggest boost of serotonin and still to this day, I love nothing more than taking myself on solo shopping trips to check out what’s in store. As I’ve gotten older the amount I spend on beauty products has definitely increased but isn’t extreme. I realised quite early on that the price of a product whether affordable or on the higher-end doesn’t determine how you get on with the product. Now, the most I’ve spent on a serum is probably around the ÂŁ30 mark. I’m yet to personally spend…

I Think This Dress Length Is the Easiest to Wear With Boots

October 17, 2021 at 08:00AM I don’t have a fashion crystal ball, sadly, so I can’t tell you what the weather will be in a few weeks’ time. But you know what I can tell you? In a little under a month, we’re going to be in autumn, and that, my friends, is what I like to call midi-dress time. For starters, it’s the best length whatever your height. It’s also great for the slightly warmer autumn days but also a great option for cooler months, making it the ideal outfit option for the changeable weather we’re currently experiencing. What I’m saying is, and there’s no fighting me on this, the midi dress reigns supreme. Hands down, it’s also the best frock to wear with boots. In short, it is the Goldilocks of dresses—not too long and not too short, which makes it ideal for showing off…

The Over-50 Fashion Icons With the Freshest Style

October 17, 2021 at 08:00AM Personal style can be mastered at any age—there is no magic number or milestone birthday that can claim to be the pivotal point. Some lucky fashion lovers manage to find their signature look early on and hold onto it throughout their lives, adjusting and updating it ever so slightly to suit the changing times and trends. For others, understanding the outfits and clothes you feel most comfortable in can be a more arduous and experimental process.Whichever camp you reside in, there’s no denying that as you get older, your tastes and wardrobe needs change. For example, aged 33, I now realise that all of the cheaper, trend-ticking items I bought on the high street in my 20s haven’t stood up, so I’m endeavouring to buy less and buy better. My mum, who is in her 70s, is still…

I Turned 41 This Month, so I Had a Thread Lift—Here’s Why I Recommend It

October 17, 2021 at 08:00AM First of all, let me speak about the elephant in the room. At age 41, I am still young and have healthy skin (thanks to a stringent routine of cleansing, toning, treating, moisturising and sunscreening since age 14), and quite honestly, I feel better in my skin than I ever have. But there’s no denying the collagen depletion and bone loss that comes with age. Yes, that’s right. Apparently, bone mass peaks around ages 25–30 years and declines gradually thereafter in both men and women. Yay!  This is why I started having fillers at around age 37. (You can read my previous articles where I wax lyrical about liquid facials and lip fillers.) Now that I’m entering my 40s, I wanted to try something that didn’t just fill the depleted areas but that actually helped my own body generate its own collagen over time.…

This ÂŁ9 Product Is the Reason Celebrities Always Look So Glowy

October 17, 2021 at 08:00AM When it comes to this time of the year, it’s totally normal for skin to seem seriously dull. In fact, beyond looking a little lacklustre, it could possibly be feeling tight, dry and sore. If there’s one thing that the beauty world is certain of, it’s that cold weather is rarely good news for your complexion. And don’t I know it. Despite the fact the summer months had my skin radiating an out-of-this-world glow, the start of winter had me sporting a drab, lacklustre and seriously distressed face.At the start of the season, as I emptied out the contents of my makeup bag in the search for any kind of illuminating product to pour over my face/bathe in, I couldn’t help but wonder if my skin would ever get its glow back. Sure, I could slather my cheekbones…
