Priyanka Chopra Does Barbiecore in a Plunging Fuchsia Dress

It’s her dream house and we’re all just living it. On March 5, Priyanka Chopra attended the Valentino womenswear show during Paris Fashion Week dressed in an all-pink Barbiecore ensemble. The look featured a silky dress by the designer with a plunging neckline almost resembling a robe. Chopra paired the lightweight slip with a bright bubblegum trench coat with a side bow detail adding to the sweet aesthetic. Her closed-toe boots and matching purse were emblazoned with the same monogram print as the one on her dress, creating a fully monochromatic look.

Chopra worked with acclaimed celebrity stylist Law Roach, whose previous work has appeared on stars like Zendaya and Kerry Washington. She wore jewelry from Bulgari, including delicate sparkling bracelets and tiny hoop earrings, and swept her hair into an exaggerated side part for additional drama. The former Bollywood star arrived at the show hand-in-hand with her husband, Nick Jonas, with whom she shares 1-year-old baby Malti. And although Jonas himself was not dressed in pink, he also wore a monogrammed Valentino suit to complement Chopra’s outfit.

With Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” movie on the way, Barbiecore has taken Hollywood by storm. Derived in part from Y2K fashion, the trend found inspiration in the glamour and campiness of Barbie dolls, including their love for pink and over-the-top sense of style. Other stars who have shown love to the Barbiecore aesthetic include Selena Gomez, who wore towering hot-pink platforms and a matching miniskirt on “Saturday Night Live,” and Anne Hathaway, whose glittery sequin minidress was equal parts plastic and fantastic.

Read on to see how Chopra put her own spin on the trend.
