If Sassy, Skimpy Party Dresses Are Your Thing, This It Brand Does Them Best

December 09, 2021 at 05:32AM There are many fashion categories that have benefitted from the pandemic. Loungewear became worth the investment and will still have a place in our day-to-day wardrobes, even as we start to ease out of the darkness. Chunky, sensible shoes and boots—think Tevas, Birkenstocks and even wellies—have been the footwear we gravitate towards on the regular, and there’s probably no going back. Maybe as a light relief from (or a fight against) our new armoury of ultra-comforting pieces, there has been a steep rise in revealing body-con looks.Perhaps none have been quite as “viral” as the vibrant, swirly, cut-out, barely-there dresses of Farai London, a brand that was born during the first wave of the pandemic and has proceeded to gather stockists, celebrity fans and influencer devotees at a staggering pace. Already popular…

December 09, 2021 at 01:30AM Halle Bailey spent her Wednesday celebrating the achievements of leaders and changemakers across the country at The Hollywood Reporter’s 2021 Women in Entertainment Gala, and her chic outfit was worthy of its own round of applause. During the event, Halle briefly took the stage to recognize teen girl scholarship recipients and pass out laptops - with some help from Ted Lasso stars Hannah Waddingham and Toheeb Jimoh - to the class of 2022 while wearing an Ottolinger long-sleeve crop top ($640) and a matching pair of leggings ($615) embellished with dangling straps of fabric. “And i’m feelinggg gooddd đŸ„°â˜€ïž,” the “Do It” singer captioned an Instagram post of herself in the outfit on Dec. 8. Lori Harvey Was Serving Up the Main Course at Dinner in This Mugler Dress

December 08, 2021 at 11:20PM All due respect to the chef at Carbone in NYC, but Lori Harvey was serving up the main course on Tuesday night when she showed up for dinner in a sheer Mugler dress covered in perfectly-placed cut-outs. As the chilled oysters and creamy pasta graced the center of the table, Lori sat looking like $1,000 bucks ($1,131, to be precise) in the scoop-neck ensemble, covered in a wave-like star print that accentuated her curves and led our eyes straight to the massive cut-out on her back. Letting the outfit speak for itself, Lori styled the look with long braids and a pair of strappy lace-up heels that drew our attention right back to that trippy star pattern. Her boyfriend Michael B. Jordan was nowhere to be seen in her IGS that night, but he did take a moment…

Soo Joo Park Turned Chanel’s MĂ©tiers d’Art Show into her First Ever Concert

December 08, 2021 at 09:52PM Model and DJ Soo Joo Park found her voice in the most unexpected of places: on the runway. More specifically, at the Chanel MĂ©tiers d’Art 2021 show in Paris. On December 7th the longtime Chanel ambassador cruised the catwalk in the new Le19M building in Paris, which acts as a working museum of sorts, housing the several hundred embroiderers, feather workers, goldsmiths, shoemakers, milliners, and other experts who are grouped together in a Chanel subsidiary called Paraffection. After her romp around the runway in one of the more subdued looks of the night — a floor-length, glittery, black tweed coat (only at Chanel can this be considered minimal), she suddenly took to a microphone to sing the finale song. For those who are slightly befuddled, you’re not alone. View this post on Instagram   A post shared by…

Best of 2021: The Red Carpet Fashion Trends that Defined Celebrity Style

December 08, 2021 at 09:37PM The red carpet officially reopened for 2021, and the best-dressed stars of the year made it worth the wait. Of the most memorable moments, our favorite celebrity fashion trends were surreal gold hardware, colorful ostrich feathers, leather opera gloves, celestial caped sleeves, and extreme cut-outs - and we know the best way to style them. The appeal of surreal gold hardware started at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival with Bella Hadid’s breathtaking branched lungs gown. The black dress, designed by Daniel Roseberry for surrealist atelier Schiaparelli, featured a fitted, long-sleeve silhouette with subtle leg of mutton sleeves and a completely exposed, open-bust. Hadid’s bust was covered by a necklace with a massive pair of branched lungs for the pendant. Zendaya also wowed us at the 2021 Ballon d'Or football awards with an open-back, black gown by Roberto Cavalli…

Prince Harry Is Allowed To Want To Quit His Job

December 08, 2021 at 09:34PM You shouldn’t have to stay in a job that’s causing harm to your mental health, right? But somehow that statement is controversial. In an article published on December 6, Prince Harry voiced his support for the rising rate of people quitting their jobs in the US, and now he’s facing backlash for it. During an interview with Fast Company about his role as Chief Impact Officer at the tech startup BetterUp, the Duke of Sussex was asked about the increase in burnout and job resignations throughout the pandemic. In response, he said this trend is “something to be celebrated.” “While on the surface it looks like these last couple of years brought all these issues to the foreground, the reality is these struggles and issues have been brewing for quite some time. We’re just at the beginning of…
