December 05, 2021 at 06:38PM Lil Nas X was presented with the 2021 Innovator of the Year award at the Variety Hitmakers event by his good friend Chloe Bailey. When she took the stage to introduce him, she honored the boundary-breaking musician with a speech about his strength and positive impact on the world. “There couldn’t be a more appropriate honor for Lil Nas X. He has embodied the spirit of courage while also representing the culture authentically and beautifully … What makes him Nas is his heart, his love for everybody, his positive light,” she said, as Lil Nas X smiled up from his seat in the audience in a white Balmain pantsuit. 36 Blunt Bobs That Are Making Me Completely Rethink Having Long Hair

December 05, 2021 at 08:00AM Having a hairdresser for a mum has meant that I’ve done just about everything you can think of to my hair. I’ve been platinum blonde, mahogany brown and everything in-between. I’ve framed my face with feathering and had thick fringes cut in. I’ve had hair down to my waist and chopped to my chin. It’s fair to say I was pretty fearless with my hair. That is until I got older.I don’t know why, but for some reason, I’ve defaulted to long length hair in a creamy hue with lived-in roots. Now, though, after witnessing some impressive hair transformations on Instagram of late, I’m finally going to give my ‘do a refresh. And the look I’m toying with is a blunt bob.The blunt bob has undergone a bit of a resurgence as of late. A far cry from the dreaded bowl…

The Experts Have Spoken—These 6 Nails Trends Are Set to Be Huge in 2022

December 05, 2021 at 08:00AM Over the past year, we have experienced somewhat of a nail frenzy. While makeup and hair used to give us our aesthetic kicks on Instagram, in 2021, we noticed a dramatic shift in the sorts of things the beauty set were paying attention to. Nails used to be considered beauty’s annoying little cousin that no one really wanted to play with. Doing our nails was a chore and nail art was reserved exclusively for in-salon acrylics.Nowadays, however, nails are king. We spend hours scrolling through Instagram, saving down all of the cutest nail ideas that come our way so that we can show them to our nail techs. And while nail trends used to be limited to simple shades and finishes, thanks to the internet and calibre of artistry out there, what we’re now dealing with is forward-thinking, super-creative styles that…

Zara’s Best Boots Have Arrived (and Celebs Are Already Wearing Them)

December 05, 2021 at 08:00AM On paper, Emily Ratajkowski and I don’t exactly have much in common, but as the saying goes, you learn something new every day. Spoiler alert: That’s certainly the case today, as I’ve just discovered that EmRata is just as in love with the Zara boots I’ve been mulling over as I am. How do I know this? She just wore them out.  After a celebrity-sighting dry spell, the fact that we’re treated to A-list appearances on the regular again remains a thrill. Every morning, I start my day by scouting who was out and about and, indeed, what they were wearing. So you imagine my delight when I clocked Emily Ratajkowski on the streets of New York wearing an outfit that not only I immediately wanted to re-create in its entirety but also featured the very same pair of Zara…

I’m a Flat-Shoe Expert, and These 31 Pairs Are the Prettiest I’ve Found

December 05, 2021 at 08:00AM Up until about six years ago, aside from holiday sandals, I never used to wear flat shoes. Instead, I’d teeter around in heels, whatever the occasion—be it a night out or a trip to the supermarket. I guess I had subscribed to the idea that working in the fashion industry meant practical things such as flat shoes weren’t part of the uniform. In my defence, flat shoes weren’t given the same treatment that they are today. Then the tide turned. From CĂ©line’s (when the brand still boasted its accent) Glove shoes to Gucci’s once-again-iconic Jordaan loafers, the humble flat was given the haute treatment by a host of brands. Now, you’ll find plentiful flat shoes that look just as pretty as heels, if not more so.It’s official—flat shoes are cool, and I wear them around the clock. Not only are they…

Katie Holmes Just Wore the Cardigan-and-Jeans Uniform I Can’t Wait to Copy

December 05, 2021 at 08:00AM Leave it to Katie Holmes—the actress who single-handedly blew up the internet when she wore a cashmere cardigan–and-bralette duo from Khaite with vintage denim back in 2019—to debut the finest knit-and-jeans combo of the year thus far. On Monday, Holmes was spotted in New York City wearing what can only be described as my ideal fall look: a white T-shirt, Western boots, a cashmere cardigan and a pair of high-rise jeans that fit just right. Like so many of the Dawson’s Creek alum’s outfits, the look was casual and elevated at the same time, which I can tell you from experience is easier said than done. The real winners from Holmes’s outfit are her jeans (which are mid-wash and straight-leg) and her cardigan (a pink-and-gray knit by Kate Spade New York that is somehow still in stock). Called the Colorblock Cashmere Gallery Cardigan, the two-tone sweater costs £295 and comes in a total…
