Everything They’ve Worn (So Far) on Insecure’s Final Season

December 07, 2021 at 10:55PM With the final season of Insecure still up in the air, the one thing we can count on is this: season five delivers big on style. From the beginning, with a first look at Issa, Molly, Kelli, and Tiffany’s outfits at their college reunion in episode one, we were treated to a glimpse of the girls’ easy takes on denim, a sporty tracksuit and fresh plaid for Issa, and new Bottega for Molly. These covetable yet relatable looks are another testament to the expertise of costume designer Shiona Turini, who takes the helm of the show’s wardrobe again for the last season. You can expect more of the contemporary-cool, high-low mix Shiona’s given us throughout, balancing emerging labels and vintage items with favorites like Telfar. Read on for a closer look at everything they’ve worn so far on…

I Tried Snapchat’s Augmented Reality Try-On Shopping Feature

December 07, 2021 at 10:38PM This morning, I tried on nine Prada bags without ever leaving my apartment. No, I don’t have a personal stylist who comes over with my outfit options for the week (I wish). Rather, I did this using the Snapchat augmented reality (AR) try-on feature. The tool, which first launched in 2020 in a collaboration with Gucci, allows Snapchatters to use their cameras to virtually try on clothing, accessories and makeup as they move in real-time. Parent company to Snapchat, Snap Inc., continues to expand its AR try-on feature by collaborating with retailers like the aforementioned Prada, Kaja beauty, NYX Cosmetics, MAC Cosmetics, YSL, North Face and watch brand Piaget Polo. When trying something on, the product appeared on camera and moved with me as I moved. I could take photos and videos with each virtual item, and there…

Real Housewife Sutton Stracke’s New Collection is Not Your Grandmother’s Cashmere

December 07, 2021 at 10:21PM Sutton Stracke doesn’t know why her tiara collection has gotten so much publicity. “It’s been so blown out of proportion,” says the star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on a rainy morning in Toronto. “I only have six or seven, and I really don’t wear them that often.” But thus is the life of an American socialite, fashion aficionado and reality TV star. Ignoring the fact that six or seven crowns are at least six or seven more than most people have in their wardrobes, Stracke’s nonchalant attitude towards throwing on a “subtle tiara”— as she calls it — is precisely why she has shot to stardom. After appearing on Season 10 of the beloved Real Housewives of Beverly Hills last year, audiences quickly came to know Sutton Stracke as a Georgian-born belle with Southern charm,…

Jonah Hill Has Emerged as the Low-Key Style Icon We Need Right Now

December 07, 2021 at 08:45PM If you pigeonholed Jonah Hill into comedy after Superbad, think what you’d be missing. Likewise, if you wrote off the actor as a funny man without a “leading man” sense of fashion, you’d be wrong. Or at least, half wrong. Instead of traditional Hollywood style, Jonah Hill’s emerged as the perfect kind of icon for style right now; he’s an original - cool and off beat. He makes us laugh, makes us think, and mostly seems like a guy we just want to hang out with. His street style is similarly relatable; it makes us smile at the way he’s unassumingly tossed on a bucket hat and tinted shades and finished the whole thing off with pair of Adidas Sambas (from his own collaboration, no less). He’s mastered a brand of dressed-down that always comes with an added…

6 Winter Denim Trends to Wear Into the New Year

December 07, 2021 at 08:20PM Although winter is a great time for loungewear and sweats, what better way to dress up again than with some new jeans? One trend we’re seeing a lot of is reworked denim. As more consumers develop a stronger desire to care for our planet, retailers are creating collections of stretch biodegradable denim and eco-conscious denim, often made of plant-based materials that can decompose, producing a minimal environmental impact, or by patching together several old pieces of fabric. Nostalgia will continue to play a big role with an updated take on the ‘90s bootcut styles - think Rachel Green’s denim in Friends - and a '70s flare, plus an '80s tapered high waist with a barrel leg. Ahead, learn more about this season’s biggest denim trends and shop our favorite selects. You can also jump ahead to your favorite…

December 07, 2021 at 06:10PM With only three episodes left, HBO’s Insecure is almost done. Although we will miss watching the back-and-forth dating triangles, selfie mirror rapping, and powerful ride-or-die friendships unfold, the style lessons we learned from Issa, Molly, Kelli, and Tiffany, will be with us long after the show wraps.
