H&M’s Showstopping Party Drop Is Here, and I Tried On the Best Pieces

December 08, 2021 at 06:00AM If I had to summarise H&M’s latest limited-edition capsule in three words, they would have to be these: big party energy. Voluminous tulle! Sequin-strewn minis! Giant-bow tops! A collection for shrinking violets, this is not that. Coming under the headline of the Circular Design Story, this H&M collection focuses on high-octane partywear made from innovative materials and designed with versatility in mind. Think blazers that can be worn as both dresses and jackets, adjustable-width trousers and ball gowns that come apart in two pieces. I wouldn’t exactly describe this collection as wearable, but if you’re looking for a party look that’s going to turn heads and light up your Instagram feed, then this is the one for you. I got the chance to try on my favourite pieces from the collection, and there really are some gems in there. At the top…

19 Free People Pieces I Love This December

December 08, 2021 at 06:00AM Free People is always one of my favourite high-street destinations for unusual or statement pieces that you won’t see everyone else wearing. For this reason, the brand really stands out when it comes to event dressing. It might have a reputation for festival outfits, but I find that its party selection is just as strong. Whether you like to dress like you’ve been dipped in glitter or want to opt for something a little more subtle, there are lots of amazing party options at Free People. One of the best party items I’ve ever bought is an emerald-green velvet blazer, and Free People has a beautiful double-breasted style in a rich green. I also love the classic black tuxedo jacket and the velvet mini dress with ruched detail across the front. I love the silver satin trousers and the sequin high-necked tops, which can…

From Zara to M&S: 30 High-Street Jewellery Pieces That Honestly Look Luxury

December 08, 2021 at 05:56AM I’ve admittedly become a bit of a snob when it comes to jewellery. After years of wearing statement gemstone necklaces which didn't last long before the “jewels” began to fall out and cocktail rings which, yes, enviably made my skin green, I swore off cheap jewellery and instead began saving up for higher-quality pieces. I don’t have a flush budget by any means, but for every 10 bits of affordable jewellery I passed on, I was able to put whatever I saved towards something, at the very least, gold-plated. High-street jewellery, however, has come a long way since then, and I’m incredibly impressed at what I’ve seen on offer this season.Although I’m sure it’s unintentional, the high street appears as if it has made a collective effort to refine its jewellery offering. Everywhere I turn, from Arket and Marks and Spencer to Zara and Jigsaw, jewellery keeps…

Madelyn Cline’s Sparkling Versace Dress at the PCAs Is Held Together By Diamond Safety Pins

December 08, 2021 at 04:03AM If anyone needed a reminder that the Outer Banks cast looks damn good year-round - not just on sandy beaches in the summertime - please direct your attention to Madelyn Cline’s sparkling Versace dress at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards. On Tuesday night, the actress hit the green carpet in an asymmetrical two-piece covered in enough glitter to reflect the constellations in the night sky. Oh, and the entire look was held together by a set of diamond safety pins, because why not? Madelyn paired the sleeveless crop top with a matching low-waisted skirt that featured a knee-high slit lined with the same shimmery fabric as her top. The actress completed the ensemble with a high top knot and a pair of strappy black heels. Extravagant down to the hardware holding up her dress, Madelyn’s outfit definitely fell…

Kim Kardashian Accepts Her Fashion Icon Award in Balenciaga and Big Sunglasses – What Else?

December 08, 2021 at 03:25AM Kim Kardashian accepted the 2021 People’s Choice Award for fashion icon of the year from 2020’s recipient, Tracee Ellis Ross. “From one Balenciaga lover to another,” Ross began as she introduced Kim, who strutted down the stage to give her speech in an all-black bodyconcious, jacquard corseted Balenciaga outfit reminiscent of the infamous incognito sheath she wore to perfectly coincide with the 2021 Met Gala theme. For this event, however, Kim selected geometric sunglasses that covered half her face, making a major statement before she even reached the microphone (as she is known to do). “I started off as a closet organizer and a stylist, so the fact that I’m winning a fashion icon award is like a pinch me moment,” Kim said, taking the time to thank designers Riccardo Tisci, who created her Givenchy wedding dress, Olivier…

Sydney Sweeney Transformed Into Marilyn Monroe in a Plunging Saint Laurent Dress at the PCAs

December 08, 2021 at 02:50AM Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world. Give Sydney Sweeney the right dress and she can turn the red carpet into a 1950s runway show. On Tuesday night, the Euphoria star hit the red carpet at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards in a black Saint Laurent cocktail dress paired with loose blond curls that bared a striking resemblance to one of Marilyn Monroe’s most iconic looks. The bold red lip, matching manicure, and collared diamond necklace added to the Old Hollywood glam vibe and we couldn’t help but feel like we were watching a scene straight out of Some Like It Hot as she made her way down the red carpet. Feeling festive, Sydney told host Laverne Cox that she wanted to “look like a gift,” and she absolutely brought her A game…

We Need to Cool Off After Seeing Becky G’s Steamy Side Profile in Her PCAs Evening Dress

December 08, 2021 at 02:05AM Becky G brought the electricity to the 2021 People’s Choice Awards on Tuesday night when she arrived in a sexy Roberto Cavalli number that almost didn’t make it to the green carpet. While making her entrance, Becky revealed to red carpet host Laverne Cox that her original outfit got stuck in customs just hours before the show. But her barely-there back-up look more than made up for the wardrobe snag. Exhibit A: the waist-high slit that left us blushing when we saw her side profile. The “Wow Wow” singer appeared before the show in a yellow colorblock evening gown embellished with gold and diamond pendants modeled after leopards and jaguars. The thick black hem and criss-cross accents on the dress also mirrored Becky’s colorful French manicure and the straps on her black Jimmy Choo Max Platform sandals. Becky’s…

JoJo Siwa’s Style Is Evolving Before Our Eyes! See Her Pink People’s Choice Awards Dress

December 08, 2021 at 01:07AM JoJo Siwa continues to shape her style. The 18-year-old YouTube personality and recent Dancing With the Stars competitor has been swapping her neon separates for elegant ballgowns, and her appearance at the People’s Choice Awards on Dec. 7 follows suit. JoJo attended the award show wearing a pink midi-length dress by Jenny Packham with tulle layers and a beaded neckline. (With its pleated sleeves, in fact, the dress actually brought to mind Glinda the Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz!) JoJo completed the sweet look with sparkly Christian Louboutin pumps, a gold necklace, and a colorful earring stack. In support of her fans, JoJo also wore a J Nation necklace wrapped around her wrist as a bracelet. This appearance comes shortly after JoJo attended the American Music Awards in a glamorous black gown. “I’ve kind of had…
