A Long-Overdue Celebration of Sylvie’s Outfits on Emily in Paris Season 2

January 04, 2022 at 09:35PM We’ve swooned over Emily Cooper’s endless bag collection, praised Mindy Chen’s penchant for all things bold, and waxed poetic about Camille’s quintessentially Parisian wardrobe. Now it’s high time we celebrate yet another style star from Emily in Paris: Sylvie Grateau. Played by French actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Sylvie consistently serves up outfits that are just as fierce as her attitude, offering a welcome break from Emily’s loud colors and clashing prints. As the boss lady at Savoir, she wears sky-high stilettos, slitted skirts, and power suits around the luxury marketing agency’s office, and slips into itty-bitty bikinis and form-fitting dresses when she’s not on the clock. Her style can be summed up as effortless sophistication with a touch of sexy. As Emily in Paris costume designer Marylin Fitoussi recently told POPSUGAR, Sylvie’s style gets more relaxed and bohemian as…

5 Style Lessons We Can Learn from Betty White

January 04, 2022 at 09:00PM No one could ever accuse Betty White of being ordinary. Whether she delivered a quintessential Rose quip on Golden Girls or rapped with Sandra Bullock in The Proposal, the 99-year-old delighted in defying expectations, and we delighted in watching her. Perhaps that’s why the news of her passing on December 31 came as such a shock — Betty White has always seemed ageless, somehow encompassing both the roles of spunky best friend and even spunkier grandma all in one beautiful package. Ryan Reynolds captured it well when he took to Instagram to write, “She managed to grow very old and somehow, not old enough.” Mirroring this sentiment, in the days that have followed, many touching tributes have been shared about the star’s humour, kindness and talent, but not enough has been said about her wardrobe. Although her clothing might…

January 04, 2022 at 08:41PM We’re only four days in, but 2022 is already feeling like a continuation of pandemic years gone by. With the uncertainty and stress of our current reality, it only makes sense that we look to the past for comfort. And in the fashion zeitgeist, that means a shortened cycle of style revivals. The British term “twee” actually dates back to the early 1900s where it was…

Trust Us, These Shoes Will Literally Feel Like You’re Walking on a Cloud

December 31, 2021 at 05:30PM Between their status as an outfit essential - we mean, there’s a reason why people say, “no shirt, no shoes, no service” - and their major compliment potential, a good pair of shoes is one of the most important investments you can make for your wardrobe. Of course, there’s a lot to consider when finding the right pair. How often will you wear them? Are they cute? Can you justify the price? And, above all, are they comfortable? I love pretty much anything in a jar so a portable egg breakfast in a jar has my heart. I have seen maaaany recipes for egg “muffins” but haven’t seen any simple breakfasts like these on the internet and since this has been a go-to of mine for quite some time, I figured it was time to share the love. First off, what is an egg cup? In my opinion an egg cup offers a more well-rounded meal. Instead of just an egg, you can combine with some veggies and grains to pack…

Cher Is Still A Rich Man

January 04, 2022 at 03:19PM When Cher won Best Actress at the 1988 Academy Awards for her performance in Moonstruck, she famously first thanked her makeup artist, Leonard Engelman. Over the phone, I ask how her relationship with makeup has changed over her career. She can’t help but laugh. “Oh, it hasn’t. It’s a love relationship — a marriage, really.” A makeup lover through and through, the Goddess of Pop has dazzled in mod liner, dramatic lashes and colourful lids since the ‘60s. “You start [painting] something on a blank canvas and all of a sudden there’s a beautiful or interesting or strange picture that you created,” she says. Now, Cher is back at her figurative easel and putting MAC products to the test for the brand’s Challenge Accepted campaign. “From colour-true payoff, to transfer- and sweat-resistance, to waterproof wear and longevity, MAC…

Arket Have Just Updated Their Cult Puffer Coat and It’s So Good

January 04, 2022 at 07:00AM Arket’s puffer coats have become somewhat of a cult classic in fashion circles over the past few years. If you remember, we reported on just how good the brand’s Long Down Puffer Coat is towards the end of 2021 when Who What Wear UK Editor, Emma Spedding, chose it over all the rest when searching for the *perfect* style. But it’s not just us who’s obsessed, so many influencers and editors have been spotted in the high street store’s cosy down coats, and the item even made it into Lyst’s top 10 biggest selling items of the year all the way back in 2020. Since then this practical coat has only gotten more and more popular, proving its cost-per-wear worth and becoming fashion gold dust as the months get colder. Looking back on 2021 and my goals for 2022

Looking back on 2021 and my goals for 2022January 04, 2022 at 11:34AM Hi friends! How’s the year going so far? 😉 The kids are back at school this week, I’m back into teaching and training clients, and it’s FREEZING here. It’s like all of a sudden Tucson got the memo that it’s winter. The past week was absolutely lovely, with lots of time outside (before it turned into an arctic tundra), sleeping in, and get-togethers with friends. It feels good to get back into a routine but man, we all loved winter break.  For today’s post, I thought I’d do a recap of the past year and share some of my goals for 2022. I always love talking about goals and sharing my personal ones in this space. It’s nice to have a little accountability out there, and I always love to…
