My Job Is to Spot Trends Before Anyone Else—These 6 Will 100% Go Viral in 2022

January 08, 2022 at 08:00AM I rarely venture out of Manhattan, but this weekend, I took a trip with some friends upstate to do some apple picking and sale shopping (the perfect fall day). When we arrived at the mall, my heart soared as I saw so many people wearing and shopping the trends that I had predicted just one or two years ago. Since I tend to keep to quieter parts of New York City, I rarely come across such a large crowd, and my analytical fashion brain was doing its scanning. I felt reminded of the power of trend-spotting—it’s fun to watch something come down the runway and subsequently catch a glimpse of fashion insiders wearing it, and then finally being submerged in crowds dressed up in seemingly Jacquemus-inspired knits and Celine-level tailoring. My little weekend trip inspired me to come home to my fashion editor crystal ball and see…

This French Influencer’s Completely Sheer Wedding Dress Is a Must-See

January 08, 2022 at 08:00AM Congratulations are in order for one of the OG French influencers Camille Charrière. She just married François Larpin in Paris, and the event was as stylish as you’d expect. The bride wore a Celine couture wedding dress for the ceremony, featuring a sheer skirt and sleeves along with shiny sequin details. She finished the look with white pointy-toe pumps and delicate snowflakes pinned to her hair. How romantic is that?Charrière’s reception look, however, seemed to steal the show, as it was completely sheer and exposed her white thong underneath. The ethereal lace number featured ultra-thin straps and a mini train, contrasting her ankle-length wedding dress from earlier in the day. Scroll down to see Camille Charrière’s wedding photos. On Camille Charrière: Celine couture dress. Based on an amalgamation of two different looks from Celine’s winter 22 collection, this comprised of a blouse layered over…

A Dermatologist Ranked the 3 Worst Body-Lotion Mistakes

January 08, 2022 at 08:00AM If there’s anything I’m very strict about when it comes to my beauty routine, it’s my body lotion. I might forget a step in my nighttime skincare routine, but I never forget to put body lotion on after I shower or in the mornings, even I don’t shower. For the most part, it’s paid off. Aside from the occasional eczema flare-up on my hands, arms, or neck, I have pretty smooth skin. But since I’m a curious person and like to question everything, I wanted to know if there were some things I was missing when it comes to body-lotion application. So I reached out to dermatologist Naissan O. Wesley, MD, FACMS, of Skin Care and Laser Physicians of Beverly Hills to get her tips and to see what role body lotions play in reducing premature ageing or the signs of ageing.…

Jennifer Aniston and J.Lo Both Wore the Denim Trend I’m Replacing Skinnies With

January 08, 2022 at 08:00AM I wouldn’t say that Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez have similar personal styles. The latter’s tends to be much more bold and experimental. But here they are wearing identical outfit formulas in the same week in the same city. Who would have thought? They were both photographed in Los Angeles wearing black turtleneck sweaters, flared jeans and top-handle bags. Are you taking notes yet?Flared jeans happen to be one of my favourite denim trends right now—one that I’m willing to swap out my beloved skinny jeans for. In my opinion, they’re so much dressier than skinnies and help you look instantly polished. Scroll down to see how both well-dressed women style the same outfit combo and to shop similar pieces for yourself. On Jennifer Lopez: Hermès Birkin bagJen and Ben are still going strong. On Jennifer Aniston: Oliver Peoples Nisen Glasses (ÂŁ297); Wolford turtleneck; Nili Lotan Oakland…

My Mum Is 46 Years Older Than I Am, But We Both Use These 8 Skincare Products

January 08, 2022 at 08:00AM My mum is no stranger to the Who What Wear scene. Of course, she’s a member of my family, so it’s a given that she has to put up with me talking about and testing beauty products 24/7, but since she has her own background and experience in beauty, trading secrets, application tips, and fave products with her is all the more fun. As I am a beauty editor, you’d think I’d be the one teaching her all of the things, but in reality, she’s taught me some of my most treasured beauty secrets and has turned me on to some of my most beloved products. (Plop her in a drugstore aisle, and she'll pull together an all-star ensemble of cheap makeup picks that will look so expensive on your face.)As someone who had years of experience in front of the…

’70s Hairstyles Are Having a Moment—Here Are 20 Looks for Major Inspiration

January 08, 2022 at 08:00AM If I could live in any decade, it would hands down be the ‘70s—not because I find anything about the way of life particularly endearing, but rather I’m absolutely head over heels for the aesthetic. From flared jeans to supersized sunglasses, when it comes to '70s fashion, I’m all in.However, as a beauty editor, I feel somewhat inclined to say that the single best thing about the '70s was the hair. I’m so obsessed with '70s hairstyles, in fact, that I have rocked the same '70s-style, long, middle-parted mop for well over 10 years. But it’s not just super-long hair that really defined the decade. Everything from shaggy lengths and fringes to blunt bobs and picked-out afros have remained some of the most timeless hairstyles around. And next year, it’s looking as though '70s hair is going to be everywhere.Don’t believe me? Keep scrolling for 20 '70s-inspired hairstyles that will…

The “Dated” Trend French Women Still Love to Wear

January 08, 2022 at 08:00AM One thing we’ve noticed about French women is their shared ability to breathe new life into older trends—looks some might even deem “dated.” But with their natural flair and laid-back approach to styling, they have influenced us to wear a trend we previously wrote off. Enter corduroy. While this retro fabric has long been considered a basic, we haven’t seen it as much in the last few years. But make no mistake—if you follow the Gallic-girl dress code, it’s one of the season’s biggest trends.Although the material has roots in the ‘70s, French women are giving their corduroy staples a modern feel, wearing them in fresh new ways. Take Julie Sergent Ferreri, whose bright-pink corduroy suit was one of the sleekest looks we clocked during Paris Fashion Week. And Franny Fyne? She makes her classic tan corduroy blazer feel bang-up-to-date with the addition of crisp ecru…
