My Mum Is 46 Years Older Than I Am, But We Both Use These 8 Skincare Products

January 31, 2022 at 08:00AM My mum is no stranger to the Who What Wear scene. Of course, she’s a member of my family, so it’s a given that she has to put up with me talking about and testing beauty products 24/7, but since she has her own background and experience in beauty, trading secrets, application tips, and fave products with her is all the more fun. As I am a beauty editor, you’d think I’d be the one teaching her all of the things, but in reality, she’s taught me some of my most treasured beauty secrets and has turned me on to some of my most beloved products. (Plop her in a drugstore aisle, and she'll pull together an all-star ensemble of cheap makeup picks that will look so expensive on your face.)As someone who had years of experience in front of the…

Katie Holmes Just Wore the Cardigan-and-Jeans Uniform I Can’t Wait to Copy

January 31, 2022 at 08:00AM Leave it to Katie Holmes—the actress who single-handedly blew up the internet when she wore a cashmere cardigan–and-bralette duo from Khaite with vintage denim back in 2019—to debut the finest knit-and-jeans combo of the year thus far. On Monday, Holmes was spotted in New York City wearing what can only be described as my ideal fall look: a white T-shirt, Western boots, a cashmere cardigan and a pair of high-rise jeans that fit just right. Like so many of the Dawson’s Creek alum’s outfits, the look was casual and elevated at the same time, which I can tell you from experience is easier said than done. The real winners from Holmes’s outfit are her jeans (which are mid-wash and straight-leg) and her cardigan (a pink-and-gray knit by Kate Spade New York that is somehow still in stock). Called the Colorblock Cashmere Gallery Cardigan, the two-tone sweater costs £295 and comes in a total…

13 Beautiful Dress Brands Making Me So Excited for Spring

January 31, 2022 at 06:35AM As I type this, I’m wearing two pairs of socks on my feet, which are tucked into a pair of sheepskin slippers—and I’m still cold. So, you’ll forgive me for indulging in a spot of springtime daydreaming, escaping just for a second into thoughts of brighter days and warmer temperatures and, inevitably, the fashion that comes with them. And, when it comes to spring clothes, nothing feels more seasonally appropriate than a pretty dress.Admittedly I’m a dress girl, but I can’t be the only one who gets endorphins just thinking about slipping into one (without the need for thermal tights underneath). While I have quite the collection of them hanging in my wardrobe, which I can’t wait to get the wear out of, I can’t help but let my eye wander to the stunning array of dresses that…

8 Denim Brands Fashion Editors and Influencers Swear By

January 31, 2022 at 06:04AM While we might scour multiple stores in search of the perfect winter coat or pledge our allegiance to a number of different It-bag brands, when it comes to jeans, we tend to couple up for life. Despite the fact that no one likes shopping for them (how do they manage to spark insecurity like no other item of clothing?), it’s worth the hunt, as once you’ve found The One, there’s no turning back. The holy grail of good jeans lies somewhere in the middle of a Venn diagram covering fit, silhouette, comfort and, inevitably, cost. Recognising the needs of the masses by creating fashion-forward fits (especially for jeans) in technical, figure-flattering fabrics has only been achieved by a handful of brands. It’s rare to tick all the boxes, however, when it comes to the best denim brands on the market,…

Over 60 Years Later, These Are Still the Shoes Every Fashion Editor Wants

January 31, 2022 at 06:03AM Despite the fact that the iconic two-tone Chanel pumps were designed over 60 years ago, they’re still one of the most coveted pairs of shoes. Every season, a new iteration comes out and immediately they sell out. But what, we hear you cry, makes them so perennially popular? Designed in 1957 by Coco Chanel, the two-tone shoes, which initially were a slingback, were meant to mimic men’s shoes at the time. It was also considered to be a universally flattering style. Thanks to the contrasting-coloured toe, the shoes both made the foot look smaller and the leg longer. Clever, eh?Women in 1957 wearing the two-tone Chanel pumpsOf course, the shoes took off, and ever since then, we’ve seen the familiar Chanel pump every fashion week and in numerous street style shots. Incredibly, the shoes have hardly differed from its…
