The Best High-Street Buys We’ve Seen on Instagram This Month

February 12, 2022 at 06:02AM The team at Who What Wear UK prides itself on uncovering cult items before they’ve even made it off the production line. We’re keen, to say the least, and a great portion of our time is spent documenting and analysing the Instagram posts of the thousands of cool women we follow on Instagram for high-street sightings. In fact, we have WhatsApp groups and Slack channels dedicated to these affordably priced power pieces, and we want to update you on them as soon as possible (after we’ve bought our faves). Our skills are so attuned that, more often than not, we’ll have an inkling about a certain piece before it has hit the big time. Sometimes, you’ll find a flurry of brand-specific action due to a paid activation or a natural desire to wear a particular thing or label. But…

The 6 Spring Trends Our Editors Are Impatient to Wear

February 12, 2022 at 06:00AM I don’t know about you, but this winter has felt like the longest on record, so boy are we excited to be edging ever closer to spring. It’s been almost two years since we first went into lockdown, so we’re taking the opportunity to celebrate the feel-good fashions that will be brightening up our wardrobes this season. After all, if the last 24 months have shown us anything, it’s that what we wear can really have have an impact on how we feel.So really, it came as no surprise that when I asked our editorial team which trends they’re impatient to wear for the new season, they came back with colour, prints and polish. We’ve got Editor in Chief Hannah Almassi, who has wholeheartedly embraced the bright-colour trend—surely the most obvious manifestation of our joy at spring arriving? Or Emma Spedding’s penchant for a statement print…

These 13 Mascaras Are All Under ÂŁ15 and Are Genuinely Amazing

February 12, 2022 at 06:00AM I’m a firm believer that mascara is one of the places in your makeup routine that you absolutely do not need to invest heavily in. Some of the best mascaras I have tried and continue to repurchase have been available on the high street or when I’m doing my food shop. I have long, straight lashes, so I always curl them before applying mascara. I’ve found that the best affordable mascaras will hold the curl all day and won’t droop or crumble off. Of course, no mascara is perfect (except maybe one—we’ll get to that), so below, I’ve noted the pros and any cons with each mascara pick.If you have short or curled lashes, look out for mascaras that have a plastic brush. These seem to work best for lengthening and gripping shorter lashes without leaving an imprint on your lid, a…

The M&S Leather Trousers That Have Been a Huge Hit With the Fashion Crowd

February 12, 2022 at 06:00AM In the contemporary wardrobe, leather trousers are one of those wardrobe items that were previously considered statement items, reserved for the rock stars and Kate Mosses of the world (with the odd cameo from Ross from Friends). However, in recent years, they’ve settled into a more mainstream strata, embraced by brands at both ends of the fashion market. I mean, if someone had told fashion editors 20 years ago that M&S would create its own pair of faux-leather trousers and that the fashion crowd would snap them up, they probably wouldn’t have believed you.But here were are, and I have to admit that these ÂŁ40 high-street faux-leather trousers present a good challenge to some designer iterations I’ve seen thanks to their perfect straight-leg and high-waisted fit. I’ve already seen this pair on the likes of Francesca Saffari and Karina from Style Idealist, who have styled them with everything from quilted jackets to striped knits. We…

The Story Behind J Lo’s Major Wedding Dress Moment in “Marry Me”

February 11, 2022 at 10:30PM “When you work with somebody who’s at the level of Jennifer, you have to bring your A-game every second of every day,” says Caroline Duncan, the ultra-talented costume designer who kept J.Lo looking fabulous in every frame of her new rom-com “Marry Me.” “She cares so much about the visual, and she has a real feeling for it.” It was a thrill, Duncan tells POPSUGAR, “to collaborate with someone who has such an understanding of fit and storytelling through clothing… Jennifer is an amazing choreographer of all moments.” Duncan was tasked with an interesting challenge when she joined the crew of “Marry Me.” The costume designer, who has worked on productions helmed by Ava DuVernay, M. Night Shyamalan, and Steven Spielberg, to name-drop just a few lines from her impressive resume, was given the ultra-meta job of dressing…

Chloe Bailey and Gunna’s Couple Style Is Already So Good

February 11, 2022 at 09:05PM Are Chloe Bailey and Gunna the next stylish couple to watch? The two first sparked dating rumors a few months ago, when they were spotted courtside in a pair of eye-catching outfits. And while they’ve continued to deny a romantic relationship, they sure looked like a couple on Wednesday. Walking hand in hand with the rapper, Bailey stepped out in a unique outfit styled by William Ylvisaker, which consisted of a high-waisted ripped body-con skirt and a corset top in a graphic print. She tucked the skirt, a custom LVDF piece, into patent-leather boots. For accessories, she wore metallic fingerless gloves and a colorful choker from Seyit Ares, as well as Jack Eller earrings and sunglasses also custom-made by LVDF. Gunna, on the other hand, opted for a monochromatic blue outfit, wearing jeans, a blue-gray shirt, and a…
