February 14, 2022 at 09:25PM At the moment, no designer makes me feel more inspired to express myself and exude joy through what I wear quite like Christopher John Rogers. The visionary creates vibrant clothing in dramatic silhouettes that make waves both on the runway and with major celebrities like Simone Biles and Adele. Also, let’s not forget about his affordable line with Target that was a massive hit. From rainbow knit dresses to structured corset tops, each design is a work of art. Rue Proves That Healing Isn’t Supposed to be Linear in Euphoria

February 14, 2022 at 09:26PM Euphoria is Gen Z’s headlining production, and Zendaya is its shining star. The actor has continued to captivates viewers of the HBO drama (now in its second season) with her performance as Rue Bennett, a recovering drug addict. Rue is the series’ unreliable narrator, bringing levity as she takes viewers through the messy web of side plots in Euphoria. As the leading character, fans of the show are most intimately familiar with Rue: she can be goofy and loveable one moment, and manipulative and cruel the next. She’s nuanced and complex, and her style is too. Photo courtesy of Eddy Chen/HBOUnlike her teen peers in the hyper-glamourized Euphoria universe, Rue’s outfits are practical. Always paired with her high-top black Converse, she mainly wears hoodies, graphic oversized tees, basketball shorts or cargo pants, and has an affinity for layering…

How I Use A Vision Board to Turn Dream to RealityFebruary 14, 2022 at 09:00PM A vision board is a really powerful tool in creating the life you desire for yourself. Personally, I have been doing vision boards for the last 10 years! I will never forget watching an Oprah episode when I was a teenager that delved into vision boards and the incredible capacity they have to manifest, which really inspired me. Oprah herself described how much she loved creating them – and how they played a key role in helping her attract her dreams and goals! What is it exactly?  A vision board is a simple yet powerful visualisation tool that manifests your dreams into reality by activating the ‘Law of Attraction’… and it really works from my experience. So what does a vision board look like? It consists of a…

Is Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Outfit a Janet Jackson Tribute? Let’s Investigate

February 14, 2022 at 07:35PM Kendrick Lamar spent Janet Jackson Appreciation Day - er, Super Bowl Sunday - honoring the music icon herself. While performing during the halftime show with Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, and more on Feb. 13, the rapper seemed to pay tribute to Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation 1814” era in an all-black suit that gave us early ‘90s flashbacks. Lamar’s suit was pulled from the late Virgil Abloh’s final Louis Vuitton menswear collection. It consisted of a double-breasted jacket and flared pants with slits at the bottom, and he accessorized by draping several Tiffany & Co. diamond necklaces and bracelets from dazzling brooches by the jeweler. He also wore a single leather glove, six Tiffany & Co. diamond rings, one drop earring, sunglasses, and a bandana secured around his arm with a gold cross-shaped clip. Related: Lizzo’s Super Bowl…

Lizzo’s Super Bowl Outfit Was Made Out of Actual Footballs

February 14, 2022 at 06:20PM Image Source: Getty / Kevin Mazur Never one to shy away from a theme, Lizzo pulled out all the stops for the 2022 Super Bowl on Feb. 13. The singer, who just debuted a new song in a Google Pixel commercial, wore a dress made out of - and inspired by - a real football alongside a slew of celebrities watching the Cincinnati Bengals and LA Rams battle it out on the field in Inglewood, CA. The minidress, which included footballs as bra cups, came with yellow off-the-shoulder sleeves, a large keyhole cutout, and lace-up detailing up the sides to resemble a football. After all, this is the same Lizzo who wore a “Hizzo” fan shirt to a Harry Styles concert and a star-spangled bralette to cast her mail-in ballot, as well as dressed as Kim Kardashian at…

Spring/Summer 2022 Trends: The Only 17 Looks You Need to Know About

February 14, 2022 at 01:00PM I am so excited about S/S 22’s fashion trends. The overarching mood was one of real optimism, but where the previous season perhaps went into overdrive with the desire (desperation?) to get dressed up for even the most low-key of weekly grocery shops, the outlook for spring and summer in 2022 is that there is a time and place to be extra fabulous but still a strong demand and a necessity for easy, simple, luxurious, gorgeous clothes and outfits you can fling on in a hurry. There are places to go, people to see and the many ensembles to suit. So while on the one hand there’s a very clear shift towards revealing, ultra-sassy, cut-to-here-and-slashed-to-there kind of dressing, there’s also a very chic, understated antithesis at play. It speaks to a modern shopper’s whims and natural inclination to change one’s mind. Some days you might…

Zarif Design is All About Empowering Afghan Artisans

February 14, 2022 at 04:29PM Known for its vibrant colours, detailed embroidery and exquisite silk fabric, the traditional Afghan chapan, a long coat worn by many men in central Asia, is Afghan-American designer Zolaykha Sherzad’s bestseller. Sherzad, based in New York, founded Zarif Design in 2005. She works directly with local Afghan artisans in Kabul, designing pieces for both women and men that merge Afghan attire with a contemporary modern twist. Her work is applauded by many including French designer agnès b., performance artist Marina Abramović, and acclaimed New York Times bestselling author Dr. Deepak Chopra (here’s a picture of him wearing the signature waistcoat). For Sherzad, Zarif Design is more than just fashion — it’s fashion with a purpose. It’s a deep-rooted desire to help her fellow Afghans economically while creating pieces that embrace authentic Afghan craftsmanship. But in August, after 16…

Quinoa Taco Salad

Quinoa Taco SaladFebruary 14, 2022 at 10:00AM Get your favorite Mexican-inspired flavored with this healthy and easy Quinoa Taco Salad. This meal with inspire you to incorporate more plant-based meals into your life that are full of flavor and good-for-you ingredients. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a cookbook collector. Granted, I’m pretty sure all the cookbooks I “owned” belonged to my mom until I moved away for college, but if we count those, my collection has always been pretty epic. Every time a cookbook appears in my mailbox, I’m like a giddy schoolgirl who just stocked up on a new round of highlighters. I was so excited to get Jessica Murnane’s cookbook, One Part Plant. Her mission is simple: Encourage people to start eating one plant-based meal a day. And her cookbook is finally here to help make this…
