I’m Going to Zara for All My 2022 Outfits

February 19, 2022 at 08:00AM I don’t just click on the Zara app/website to look for something to buy, as often go to simply browse for outfit inspiration or new styling ideas. While the second option may indeed lead to the first, some of the outfits are easy to copy with staples you already own. Some are a little more out there, as there’s no denying Zara’s stylist always know how to create a talking point. With the Instagram account (@awkwardzara) documenting the latest model poses boasting over 64,000 followers (remember the model on a cooker during lockdown one?), the high street site always steps into high end territory with daring outfit combinations. And I, for one, am always inspired by a lot of these. With a new year to think about, I’m in the mood to get experimenting with some of Zara’s new in pieces. So…

’70s Hairstyles Are Having a Moment—Here Are 20 Looks for Major Inspiration

February 19, 2022 at 08:00AM If I could live in any decade, it would hands down be the ‘70s—not because I find anything about the way of life particularly endearing, but rather I’m absolutely head over heels for the aesthetic. From flared jeans to supersized sunglasses, when it comes to '70s fashion, I’m all in.However, as a beauty editor, I feel somewhat inclined to say that the single best thing about the '70s was the hair. I’m so obsessed with '70s hairstyles, in fact, that I have rocked the same '70s-style, long, middle-parted mop for well over 10 years. But it’s not just super-long hair that really defined the decade. Everything from shaggy lengths and fringes to blunt bobs and picked-out afros have remained some of the most timeless hairstyles around. And next year, it’s looking as though '70s hair is going to be everywhere.Don’t believe me? Keep scrolling for 20 '70s-inspired hairstyles that will…

24 Bang-for-Your-Buck Beauty Items to Try in 2022, According to Editors

February 19, 2022 at 06:30AM I’m a firm believer that more is not more when it comes to beauty. A bigger price tag doesn’t necessarily connotate better results, nor does a bigger product array. (Take it from someone whose skin did a complete 180—in a much healthier direction—the second I slashed my a.m. and p.m. routines in half.) Don’t get me wrong. I’m more than down to invest in an absurdly expensive perfume, but I have to love it so much that the hefty price tag will feel well worth the splurge each and every time I wear it. And it had better last me a long, long time. The same criteria go for other expensive products I love, like hairstyling tools, beauty gadgets, the like—each investment has to have a sound cost per wear, if you know what I mean. But alongside my favourite…

32 Classic Items Our Editors Will Always Think Are the Best of the Best

February 19, 2022 at 06:04AM Once, the role of a fashion editor was writing about new trends and what is coming next. However, we think that just as much (if not more) focus should be given to classic items. So how do we decide what makes it into our everlasting line-up? These could be from the high street or the most exclusive luxury fashion houses, but all have to fit within some criteria. One, they are of exceptional quality. Two, they are timeless and will be a worthwhile addition to any wardrobe. Three, all of our editors agree they are the best of the best.We have written about some truly special investment pieces, such as Chanel pumps, Max Mara coats and Cartier watches worn by royalty, diving into the history of the items, the icons who have worn them and how you can buy them…

These 42 Outfits Prove Victoria Beckham Is a Master at Getting Dressed

February 19, 2022 at 06:04AM Victoria Beckham’s style should never be underestimated. Ordinarily, when she’s more likely to leave her house, she’s easily one of the most photographed women in the world. This means she yields significant power in the fashion industry and, thus, on our wardrobes. Don’t be fooled, however; Victoria is no clothes horse. She’s far from it. Her flair for styling is palpable, and the polish she puts into her looks is imitable. What we love most about Beckham’s style is that you’re never quite sure what to expect from her next. One minute, she’ll be favouring head-to-toe black; the next, she’ll don all three primary colours in one go. It’s this fearlessness and unpredictability that ultimately make her the icon she is.If you were to enrol in our (imaginary) Victoria Beckham style school, you’d come out on the other side as an infinitely chicer,…

9 Stylish Dress-and-Boot Pairings to Try This Spring

February 19, 2022 at 06:01AM As much as I love them and wouldn’t be able to get dressed on the regular without them, I’m getting sick and tired of wearing jeans day in and day out. Surely, I’m not the only one? This is precisely why I’ve set myself a bit of a style challenge—one I’m inviting you to join in too.Since spring is on the horizon, I’ve made it my mission to forgo denim for the foreseeable future, and instead, I’m going to embrace my favourite look of them all: dresses with ankle boots.Dresses and ankle boots never fail to look chic and will help you navigate any and every sartorial hurdle the season throws at you. I wear mine for work, dinners out, drinks with friends, on shopping trips—heck, just about anywhere that doesn’t call for something slightly fancier, like, say, weddings. Now, you…

Most of My Jewellery Comes From British Brands—Here Are the 9 I Love Most

February 19, 2022 at 06:00AM When it comes to jewellery, I’ve always had a penchant for pieces that feel as special as they look. While I’m partial to a vintage hunt for a unique find, I also love discovering new (or just new-to-me) brands. And the ones I love most all have one thing in common: They’re all British. I’ve found that some of the most interesting and contemporary jewellery pieces are created right here in the UK by some of the most talented designers. It’s easy to spot some of the most popular brands on Instagram. Monica Vinader has already had Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski wear her collection, and Vashi, which creates its jewels in the shop window of its Covent Garden store—is already backed by the likes of Camille Charrière. Some of the Brit brands I’m drawn to, though,…

“Tube-Seat Prints” Are Having a Moment—Yes, Really

February 19, 2022 at 06:00AM Outfit inspiration can sometimes come from the unlikeliest of places: a curtain fabric at your grandma’s house, a particular shade of green in the local park, a frilly collar on a faded family photograph. But the prints on the seats of the London Underground? That’s a bit of a curveball, even for me. Okay, hear me out. I’ve always loved the geometric prints that covered the Tube, whether it’s the metro tiles lining the walls of Vauxhall station or the colourful moquette checkerboard that covers train seats. Once you start noticing them, you really start to appreciate their retro charm. But it’s the Tube-seat prints, in particular, that are inspiring me right now and that I’ve seen cropping up in various fashion collections this season. From Gucci and La Double J to Paco Rabanne, no single print is alike, but they’re all united by their graphic simplicity, repeated motif and, in most cases, vibrant colour scheme. I’ve particularly fallen for Alessandro…
