And although mother nature seems to have a troublesome weather system or two up her sleeve, there’s nothing that can get in the way of the fact that it’s now light at 5pm, and the crocus’ and daffodils are starting to appear in the park— Hoorah! That means spring is officially on its way, and in my eyes that’s as good a reason as any to celebrate. One of the best things about a new season is that it makes us all feel more inspired with our wardrobes, doesn’t it? The change in weather from winter to spring brings a whole host of opportunities for new outfits, less layers and a…

Millie Bobby Brown Sparkles in Cutout Couture For Her 18th Birthday

February 22, 2022 at 11:25PM Millie Bobby Brown rang in her 18th birthday in couture. The “Stranger Things” actor commanded the spotlight in a strapless sequin gown from Sabina Bilenko Couture’s Spring 2022 collection. Dressed by her stylist Michelle Kelly, Brown wore a striking periwinkle frock with a keyhole cutout and high leg slit, which she paired with a matching sheer cape. She kept her accessories minimal, wearing only two sparkly hair clips in her hair. During the night, the beauty-brand founder changed into two additional looks, also styled by Kelly. After making an entrance in her shimmery number, Brown later stepped out in a bright-blue David Koma set featuring a feather top and miniskirt from the brand’s Spring 2022 ready-to-wear collection. Earlier in the evening, she dressed in a corset from Kristin Mallison layered over a vintage dress from Annie’s Ibiza as…

Euphoria’s Lexi Howard is Seeking Justice for Side Characters

February 22, 2022 at 10:05PM At one point or another, we’ve all felt like a side character in our own story. The anxiety that life isn’t as exciting as it should be is not uncommon, but rarely is that feeling meaningfully portrayed on-screen. Enter Euphoria character Lexi Howard (played by Maude Apatow). In a show about addiction, toxic relationships and trauma, Lexi brings some much needed levity. As a straight-laced, awkward teen, she’s often on the periphery of the juicy drama that engulfs the series’ main characters. “Sidekicks are usually the more sensitive, smarter, more compelling characters, but for some reason, they just get overlooked,” Lexi explained in a monologue in season two, episode three. So now she’s seeking justice. (Spoilers ahead!) Photography courtesy of Eddy Chen/HBOThroughout the unfolding second season, Lexi’s confidence builds as she quietly works on an autobiographical play. Titled…

Olivia Rodrigo Rocks an All-Pink, Y2K-Inspired Look For Her 19th Birthday

February 22, 2022 at 09:35PM Olivia Rodrigo went playful and romantic for her 19th birthday, wearing an all-pink silky outfit to ring in the last year of her teens. The retro-inspired look included a black lace-trimmed camisole set, separate pink sleeves, and a matching midi skirt that read “Eat Me Please, I’m So Delicious.” The singer’s Nφdress ensemble evoked ‘90s nostalgia, a core part of the brand ethos established by founder Luqi Yu. With designs like an argyle skirt set, the Central Saint Martins student adds a modern, youthful spin to classic staples from the era. Rodrigo’s vintage-inspired look also featured a cowboy hat that read “birthday girl,” a silver necklace with a locket pendant, and towering black Mary Jane heels, which according to the Instagram account @oliviarodrigocloset, are from Naked Wolfe. Since her AMAs debut gown, a sequined lilac feather-trimmed design by…

All the Best Beauty Looks from London Fashion Week

February 22, 2022 at 07:48PM In a surprise move, one of the most noteworthy beauty lessons to come out of London Fashion Week Fall 2022 was that you may not have to worry about styling your hair at all next season. The prolific parade of headwear that was seen in all forms on the runways, from jovial extra-wide brimmed hats to moody hoods and balaclavas, practically guaranteed that bad hair days need not be feared any longer. Those not yet ready to cover their coif Ă  la Richard Quinn, Ahluwalia and Erdem can dip their toes into the accessory waters with a headband, as seen at Eudon Choi and Roksanda. If it’s your makeup brushes you’re ready to take a break from, bare faces continued to be the trend du jour at shows including Christopher Kane, David Koma and Nensi Dojaka. But on…

5 Unique Pieces Our Editors Scored From The Yes

February 22, 2022 at 07:05PM With the amount of shopping sites out there, finding pieces that fit your personal style can sometimes be challenging. You have to do major digging to uncover unique brands that are perfect for you. Then came a new online shopping platform, The Yes; the site quite literally lets you click “yes” or “no” on pieces, and the more you click, the smarter the algorithm becomes in picking clothes, shoes, and accessories that are perfect for you. You can also select your favorite brands and preferred sizes, so you won’t even see items that aren’t available with your specific preferences. My fellow shopping editor Krista Jones and I put The Yes to the test for a month, and we both agree it’s incredibly useful and fun to shop on. Each of our feeds looks significantly different because we have…
