I Always Get Compliments on This $60 Denim Jumpsuit

March 18, 2022 at 07:35PM Ask any of my closest friends or family members, and they’ll tell you that my favorite wardrobe essential is a jumpsuit. I’m obsessed; I love how the silhouette makes me look put-together, even if I skipped my first alarm and am off to a late start. (Guilty). As I write this, I’m wearing Old Navy’s Long-Sleeve Medium-Wash Utility Jean Jumpsuit ($60), a piece I recently found while scouring the retailer’s new arrivals section - and now I can’t help but shout about it to the masses. It’s perfect, from the medium-wash color to the flattering fit. What surprises me most is that it looks and feels like something high-end. This silhouette features an elasticized waistband that subtly cinches at the waist and a bunch of built-in pockets to give it that utility look. Do a quick Google search…

Julia Fox Turned Her Low Rise Jeans Into a DIY Bra Top

March 18, 2022 at 07:25AM True to form, Julia Fox found an unconventional way to hop on the low-rise jeans trend. On March 17, Fox was spotted in LA rocking an all-denim outfit, complete with a makeshift bandeau top and an over-the-shoulder bag that was once a pair of jeans. She created the top in question using the leftover scraps from her low-rise jeans, essentially turning a simple swath of fabric into a bra top. She posted the DIY tutorial to Instagram on Friday, encouraging her followers to break out the fabric scissors. “Low waisted pants tutorial!” Fox captioned the video. “I also used what I cut off to make the bandeau. It makes for a really cute set and it’s easy and honestly now that latex is kinda played out, denim, you’re all I have left. Also for the zipper you have…

Friday Faves

Friday FavesMarch 18, 2022 at 06:43PM Hi friends! Happy Friday! How’s the day going so far? I’m a little later posting today because I had a podcast interview this morning. The kids are on spring break (just a long weekend), so after I hit publish, we’re off for some adventures.  I hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend ahead! Some highlights from the week: – Replanting our garden. We lost a couple of plants to frost, so I took everything out – we ate a ton of carrots!- and planted okra, cantaloupe, more carrots, and saved a spot for a tomato plant. Our veggie greens are still going strong with chard, kale, romaine, and arugula, so I added some spinach into a large pot. – St. Patrick’s Day festivities! The fam came over last night and we had a blast celebrating together.…

Oscar Isaac Channels David Rose in Thom Browne’s Skirt Suit

March 18, 2022 at 06:00PM Oscar Isaac has debuted yet another noteworthy fashion moment. The actor is known for taking risks with his red carpet style, wearing everything from colorful button-up shirts to crisp wool suits at events. Most recently, the actor took his penchant for fashion risk a bit further, stepping out in a gray Thom Browne skirt suit to the London premiere of his new Marvel series “Moon Knight” on March 17. Styled by Michael Fisher, his outfit featured a classic two-button blazer, white button-down, black tie, and a midlength pleated skirt that extended just past his knees (not quite the Miu Miu miniskirt length that’s been spotted everywhere, but still a statement-making look in its own right). To complete the ensemble, Isaac paired the Thom Browne skirt suit with mismatched socks - one all black and the other with four…

Anne Hathaway Continues Her Winning Style Streak in a High-Slit Dress

March 18, 2022 at 05:36PM Image Source: Getty / Emma McIntyre Anne Hathaway is continuing her fun style streak on the “WeCrashed” press tour. At the global premiere of the Apple TV series on Thursday evening, she wore a bright-blue look that, once again, brought joy to the red carpet. In fact, Hathaway and her stylist Erin Walsh chose a specific shade of blue - cerulean, to be exact. Her sheer-paneled David Koma dress featured a high slit at the side and a sizable, asymmetrical cutout that extended all the way across her chest, revealing a black bralette. The actor, who portrays Rebekah Neumann in the new show, paired the one-sleeved dress with bow-tie pumps from Aquazzura and Bulgari jewels. Known for his sculptural statement dresses and inventive cutouts, Koma has been a popular choice for date nights and red carpets alike. Stars…

Zac Posen on The Outfit and the Power of a Suit

March 18, 2022 at 04:23PM Zac Posen is no stranger to suits. In fact, he’s worn many over his lifetime — black ones, blue ones, skinny ones and extravagant ones. But he’s also worn a lot of hats (see what I did there?): a celeb-favourite fashion designer, bridal designer, a former judge on Project Runway, former creative director of Brooks Brothers, designer of Delta Air Lines’ new uniforms, cookbook author and the subject of the documentary House of Z. So it’s fitting that his latest endeavour as the costume designer of The Outfit fuses both his passion for suiting and his diverse background. View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Zac Posen (@zacposen) The film, starring Mark Rylance, Zoey Deutch, Dylan O’Brien and Johnny Flynn, takes place in the fifties in Chicago and follows British tailor Leonard (Rylance) as he tries…

Stylist Monica Rose on the New Way to Dress For the Office

March 18, 2022 at 04:20AM The last two years have upended office culture as we know it, which means our ideas around workplace style have also been forever changed. Gone are the days of stomping the hallways in heels and in their place is a penchant for all-around comfort, including the age-old sneaker. Monica Rose is well-versed in sneaker culture, as a stylist who has put some of her famous clients like Shay Mitchell and Lauren London in the comfortable yet chic shoe silhouette. Now, she’s helping everyday businesswomen figure out how to incorporate sneakers into their work-centric looks through a partnership with Foot Locker for Women’s History Month. Are Conventional Deodorant Formulas *Actually* Dangerous?

March 18, 2022 at 01:30PM Five years into using natural deodorant, I came to a horrible realization: I smelled — and it wasn’t just a light, feminine musk or the antique must of a used-book store; it was more like a sweaty gym sock that had been festering in a duffle bag for a month or the rancid bloom of a corpse flower. It wasn’t that I’d had this problem for years on end. However, something about the combination of entering my 30s and exercising more regularly had transformed my body into a stink factory capable of producing the most foul olfactory sensations. Not even regular “hippie showers” (rubbing one’s armpits aggressively with a damp washcloth) could stave off the cartoon cloud of scent that emanated from my body as if I were Pigpen, Charlie Brown’s bedraggled co-conspirator. I began using natural deodorant…
