It’s Official—These Are the 9 Biggest Hair Trends of 2022

March 16, 2022 at 06:30AM Our hair has been through a lot in recent years. With the two year anniversary of the first wave of salon closures coming up later this month, it’s fair to say our strands have be subjected to their fair share of damage. But this year, the hairscape is looking optimistically different. For starters, appointment availability is aplenty, and it finally feels as though our hair routine (for the most part) is back to normal. While 2020 was spent trying to make our pre-lockdown cut last as long as possible, 2021 consisted of trying to get our strands fighting fit after all of the 2020 neglect. Now, with 2022 in full swing we feel confident enough to say that this year is the year for hair—and we’re ready for change. To get some sort of idea of the sorts of hair trends that will be popular this year, we…

7 Spring Trends Our Editors Are Skipping—and 7 They’re Wearing Instead

March 16, 2022 at 06:32AM To say that we’re excited about spring would be a gargantuan understatement. With weddings back on the agenda (the sort that bears a striking resemblance to those held prior to 2020), holidays on the horizon, and the general enthusiasm that comes with brighter, warmer days, spring is all we can talk about right now. And with it, a large portion of our conversations centre around what we’ll be wearing this spring. Like anyone else, each of our editors has their own unique aesthetic, honed by the things which they, of course, like, but also defined by the things they don’t. What you choose not to wear says just as much about you as the things you do, and our editors are no exception to this rule. Curious to find out what they’ll actually be wearing this spring, I asked my colleagues to share the…

I’ve Just Assembled 5 Expensive-Looking Spring Outfits Entirely From H&M

March 16, 2022 at 06:30AM Spring has sprung! Finally, the weather has turned and it’s time for us to start de-layering, dusting off those trench coats and coming out of hibernation— those pub gardens aren’t going to fill themselves, after all. There’s plenty of exciting things to look forward to, but if the thought of dressing for a whole new weather system (and the occasions it brings with it) is a little overwhelming right now, don’t worry. That’s totally normal, and even us fashion editors have moments at the start of each season when we stare into our closets trying to remember how we did this last year. In fact, it happened to me this week when I looked at the weather report and realised I needed to start pivoting to some spring-ready outfits pretty sharpish. So I thought I’d share one of the…

5 Easy Ways To Pull Off Double Denim This Spring

March 16, 2022 at 06:14AM Whenever I wear a double denim outfit there’s almost always someone who comments on how ‘brave’ I am for wearing such a bold look. Okay, so I understand the reservations some people might have around the 'Canadian tuxedo'—most of which relate to a certain Justin and Britney look c.2001 or, alternatively, the memory of a questionable teenage outfit they’d rather forget—but I find that double denim is one of the coolest, and easiest, looks you can wear for spring. If you love co-ords and boilersuits, or embraced the tonal dressing trend, then I’m certain you’ll love double denim. For me, it’s an easy pairing that requires relatively little effort and thought, and has just the right amount of retro charm (you know me). My favourite way to wear double denim is a simple pair of straight leg jeans, a denim shirt, and knotted red neckerchief for a…

I Tried On the Best Spring Buys From Warehouse—Here’s What Wowed Me

March 16, 2022 at 06:13AM In my opinion, if there’s a high street brand you should be exploring right now, it’s Warehouse. The British-born brand has developed a knack for creating a variety of pieces that are unique and still work for the everyday. Statement prints ate an integral part of the brand’s DNA and are some of the best I’ve seen on the high street. From statement swirls to trending checkerboard, there’s sure to be a print to suit your aesthetic. Don’t worry, however, if stand-out motifs aren’t your thing—Warehouse is also an excellent stop for elevated wardrobe essentials, so you get truly the best of both worlds.I’ve also been impressed by the quality of its clothing—I’m confident that I’ll be able to wear a lot of what I own from the brand for many years to come! With spring’s arrival imminent, I’ve…

The Airwrap Is Good, but These Volumising Hair Tools Give It a Run for Its Money

March 16, 2022 at 06:12AM Let me first start by saying that I use my Dyson Airwrap every time I wash my hair. It really is a great product. With heaps of different attachments available to deliver whatever effect your heart so desires, it delivers good bang for its buck. However, the attachments the Airwrap is best known for, the barrels that utilise Dyson’s Coander technology to create big, bouncy volume, are by far my least favourite. You see, my hair is thin, poker-straight and long, meaning that finding ways to give my hair volume with as little effort as humanly possible is a pretty high beauty priority for me.But the truth is, I find the barrel attachments a bit of a nuisance. The barrels that came with my version of the tool, for starters, are quite short, and Dyson charge more for longer barrels…

It’s Official—These Are the Best Flat Shoes to Wear With Midi Dresses

March 16, 2022 at 05:47AM Hands up who owns a midi dress? The likelihood of everyone owning one is pretty high considering they are one of the most reliable (note: never boring) items around. In fact, they deserve a place in any capsule wardrobe as much as any trench coat, good quality white T-shirt and blazer does. Sure, there are tonnes of new spring dress trends out there, but when the midi works across all seasons, for any occasion and is universally flattering, it’s no surprise we choose this style again and again. While we’ve been pairing said dress with anything from knee-high Western boots and any form of ankle boot –from heeled to stomper –for the cooler months, it’s time to think about what to wear them with for spring. Enter: flat shoes. Be brave, ankles are about to be bared, and we are…

ChloĂ« Is “Chasing Waterfalls” in This TLC-Inspired Bikini

March 15, 2022 at 11:55PM ChloĂ«’s Instagram comments section was all fire emoji on Tuesday when the “Have Mercy” singer posted photos of herself in a TLC-inspired bikini look. “don’t go chasing waterfalls …” she captioned the post, a clear nod to the iconic ‘90s girl group. The base of ChloĂ«’s outfit was a leather thong bikini with an asymmetrical ribbon top made up of three strips of fabric clinging to a silver ring. She kept the strappy look going with a studded leather belt and assless chaps that gave us more of a “No Scrubs” video vibe, but we’d happily chase waterfalls in this look all spring and summer long. “yes mama!!!!” Halle Bailey commented, followed by fire and hot face emojis from Francia RaĂsa, Flo Milli, and Muni Long. ChloĂ« draped the entire look in a floor-length trench coat and styled…
