Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Match in Neon Yellow For Their Oscars Performance

March 28, 2022 at 03:30AM BeyoncĂ© Knowles-Carter’s much-anticipated performance at the 2022 Oscars turned out to be yet another shared fashion moment between the star and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Swathed in neon yellow sequins from David Koma, Knowles set the tennis-inspired color palette for the rest of the dancers behind her - one of whom was Blue - as she sang Oscar-nominated song “Be Alive” from “King Richard” at the Compton, CA, tennis court where Serena and Venus Williams got their start. Knowles and her stylist, Marni Senofonte, went for the thigh-high…

Ariana DeBose, Tracee Ellis Ross, and More Celebrities Wearing Red at the Oscars

March 28, 2022 at 02:45AM Wearing red on the red carpet was once considered risquĂ©, but the 2022 Oscars proved that celebs are warming up to the idea. Perhaps it’s because scarlet is one of spring’s biggest color trends, so it should come as no surprise that it made several noteworthy appearances on the Oscars red carpet. From Tracee Ellis Ross’s drop-waist Carolina Herrera ball gown to Ariana DeBose’s custom Valentino pant suit (completed by a matching piece that was part shawl, part train), the fiery hue was an undeniably popular choice for fashionistas and Oscar winners alike. Made of vegan patent leather, her boots hail from alternative footwear brand Demonia and have been previously worn by fellow icon Lady Gaga. Eilish chose some pretty special accessories for her big night. According to E!’s red carpet reporters, her star-shaped diamond earrings were converted from a 19th-century tiara. March 28, 2022 at 02:15AM For her role as the 2022 Oscars’ preshow host, Laverne Cox stunned in a strapless black velvet gown by August Getty Atelier. Showcasing an angular neckline, a fitted bodice, and a voluminous exaggerated waist, the couture design introduced an element of Victorian glamour to the red carpet while still feeling modern and architectural. A voluminous black shawl cut in a billowing fabric framed the design like a painting and descended into a cloud-like train flowing behind Cox’s gown. To convey even more classic glamour, she decided on an elegant updo comprised of a high bun and cascading, face-framing layers.
