Katie Holmes Just Ditched Her Jeans For These Trending Trousers

August 06, 2021 at 11:00AM We been documenting Katie Holmes’ looks for some time now. Ever since she wowed everyone with that cardigan-and-bra Khaite set, we’ve been tracking her casual out-and-about outfits. Most often, she likes to wear jeans and tee, with loafers or a smart coat when the the weather is cooler, and with Birkenstocks when it’s summer. But this week, we spotted the actress had ditched her trusty denim in favour of something more fashion forward for 2021: pleated trousers. The look, which I’d argue originated with The Row, has transformed from stuffy suit styling to casual coffee-run chic. Holmes paired her dusty pink versions with a pair of Gucci loafers and a white shirt, which is an ideal summer outfit if we ever saw one (so much loose material is great on a hot day). The good news is that it’s not…

Friday Faves (+ hi from Orlando)

Friday Faves (+ hi from Orlando)August 06, 2021 at 11:00AM Hi friends! Happy Friday and helloooo from one of our favorite vacay spots: Orlando! We’ve been here this week meeting up with friends, visiting the parks (we’ve done Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios), enjoying time together, and eating all the delicious food. Some pics from our trip: My fave Disney-loving girls (my shirt // sneakers // the girls’ shirts ) Wearing our ponchos when it rained all day P’s best friend in the whole world and her mom, who is one of my good friends, met up with us for a couple of days. They moved to Florida a few weeks ago and the girls have been missing their buddies (they’ve been inseparable since they were 2 ½ years old). We planned a surprise reunion for the two of them and…

Everyone I Know With Amazing Skin Uses This One Scientific Product

August 06, 2021 at 08:00AM From bakuchiol to CBD, 2021 has already seen it’s fair share of trending skincare ingredients, and I’ve tried them all. From overcoming my resistance to retinol to embracing a more pared-back approach to my skincare routine, I love experimenting to work out which ingredients are truly worth putting on my skin. There’s one key ingredient, however, that I’ve wholly neglected to sing the praises of this year. Despite using it every single day in my own routine, this ingredient has been somewhat overlooked in favour of the buzzy new launches that have been leading the way. Yet ask anyone with amazing skin which scientific ingredient it is that they swear by, and I guarantee it will be this one.The ingredient in question? Vitamin C. Also known as ascorbic acid, vitamin C might not be anything new, but it’s certainly a bit of a wonder ingredient if you aren’t…

3 French Haircuts That L.A. Girls Are Asking for Right Now

August 06, 2021 at 08:00AM After a long year of not getting my hair cut, I'm more excited than ever to get back into the salon. Admittedly, I’m not the adventurous type, so I’ll be resurrecting my grown-out bangs, but you’ve come to the right place if you’re itching to try something new. It’s a truth universally acknowledged that French girls are the epitome of style, so why not take a little inspiration from chic Parisians? To get the scoop on French haircuts that are popular with L.A. girls like me, I tapped David Pierre, founder and creative director of The Hair Atelier in West Hollywood, California. The French transplant is knowledgeable about hair trends on both sides of the Atlantic, so I knew he’d be the best stylist to ask. Scroll down to see his expert opinion. “Curtain bangs or any sort of fringe, in general, will automatically…

I’m a Modest Dresser, and This Is the Dress Trend I’ll Be Living In This Summer

August 06, 2021 at 08:00AM Am I the only one who imagines I’m frolicking through a field of flowers when I put on a loose and flowy dress? No, just me? Anyways, when the cottagecore trend took over last summer, as a modest dresser, I was relieved. While I think second-skin dresses look fantastic on fashion girls everywhere, there’s something about a roomy dress that just gives a very ethereal feeling. The trend, filled with flowy frocks, has since become a fashion staple, especially in the spring and summer, with brands releasing varieties of breezy dresses with all sorts of patterns, colourways, and necklines. I don’t know about you, but I’ll most certainly be living in these kinds of dresses all summer. Not only are they stylish, but they’re also breathable and comforting for the hot summer days. Plus, when you have no energy to…

9 Brands That Prove Gorgeous Lingerie Shouldn’t Cost a Fortune

August 06, 2021 at 08:00AM The saying “you get what you pay for” applies to so many things in fashion, but one thing we struggle to justify it for is lingerie. Never has so little fabric amounted to so many pound signs as it does when you peruse luxury lingerie. And seeing as it’s something we wear, quite literally, every single day, it’s not something we’re prepared to spend our entire salary on, which is why we’ve scoured the digital shopping sphere to bring you the best affordable lingerie brands we can find.Emmanuelle Koffi wears a white lace lingerie set from Gooseberry Intimates. While they’ll save you some pennies in the process, if there’s one thing these affordable lingerie brands don’t skimp on, it’s style. From comfortable jersey triangle bralettes and big briefs to lace-trimmed teddies and even sultry see-through shorts, from an array…

38 of the Best Bob Hairstyles For Your Post-Lockdown Haircut

August 06, 2021 at 08:00AM My hair has recently reached that awkward in-between length: it’s no longer the mid-length lob that I visited the hairdressers for last year but it can’t quite be considered a long hairstyle yet. Instead, it’s sitting rather uninspiringly on my shoulders causing me to seriously consider going for the chop. I’ve experimented with shorter hairstyles over the years but have never taken the plunge into a full-on bob. However, with my Instagram feed starting to fill up with dramatic, post-lockdown haircuts, I have to admit that I’m seriously tempted to forgo my lengths in favour of something shorter, choppier and infinitely cooler. And a quick look online confirmed that the bob might just be the hairstyle of 2021. From Fearne Cotton to Lily James, so many celebrities have undergone major short hair transformations over the last year, and their styles look seriously amazing.Keep scrolling for 38 celebrities and fashion girls that are stepping out in the…

These Are the Best-Reviewed Backless Bras on the Internet Right Now

August 06, 2021 at 07:00AM Backless bras are quite a controversial subject. For starters, do they really do anything? And wouldn’t it just be easier to go braless? It’s a yes to both for us, which proves exactly why this is such a tricky lingerie item to pin down and feel content with. So if you’re in need of a bit of support and don’t want to feel exposed (not to mention if you have a fuller bust), there are definitely outfits that require such an item. Whether that’s a plunging and revealing top, dress or jumpsuit, a backless bra can come in handy and really make your whole look. But like strapless bras, they’re a much-maligned item in the world of fashion. We’re quick to condemn the lingerie without even ever trying to find ones that work. To remedy this, we hunted down…

10 New-In Buys I Really Love This Week

August 06, 2021 at 06:15AM As several warehouses and stores shuttered over the past 12 months, the fashion industry faces huge challenges and strains that pose an inevitable threat to businesses. Many of us won’t be shopping in the same way right now, but even a like on Instagram or a message of support can provide a boost for these brands. I certainly don’t want anyone to feel like they have to buy more right now, but at the same time, after working in the fashion industry for nine years, I want to support the brands and pieces that I love and treasure. As an editor at Who What Wear, I typically spend a lot of time looking at new-in products, and so every week, I update this story with the pieces that have caught my eye and that really stand out. The weather…

33 Autumn Finds From Zara, H&M and Mango I Can’t Get Out of My Mind

August 06, 2021 at 06:07AM Like so many, my shopping habits have changed vastly over the past 18 months. My second-hand intake has gone up by about 100%, and I find that I have more willpower than I previously did when scouting out the various new-in sections I browse daily—which I only do as part of my job, of course…Ordinarily, I’d have a wish list as long as my arm filled with shoes and dresses to wear to weddings, pieces I want to pack for holidays and a handful of chic items to wear to work. Now, aside from the four weddings I have on the horizon, for which I’ll be wearing outfits I already have in my wardrobe, I haven’t felt the insatiable need to buy anything new. Still, on the cusp of a new season, I thought I’d perhaps take a look at the latest collections from…
