I Tried Clothing Subscription Service Armoire, and I Actually Had Fun With Fashion Again

September 09, 2021 at 07:10PM I used to think I possessed a little something called “style,” but these days my daily fits consist of sweats, bike shorts, old oversized T-shirts, and my trusted Harry Styles sweatshirt. Though dressing for comfort is something I’ve grown fond of during the pandemic, I am deeply in a style rut. So when I got the chance to try out Armoire ($69 and up), a clothing subscription company, I was excited to go back to the old days, when I used to actually get dressed. To begin, I took a short style quiz that was aimed to help them better suggest pieces I might like. It only took five minutes, and it asked about the types of pieces I’m drawn to (tailored trousers), what I wear a lot (Breton stripes), what I would never wear (paisley), as well…

Thanks to Irina Shayk’s Cargos, I’m THIS Close to Clicking “Purchase” on a Pair of Low-Rise Pants

September 09, 2021 at 06:55PM I’ve hemmed and hawed over the return of some of the early-aughts trends that have made their way back in vogue. I’ve passed on bucket hats and tiny shades, but welcomed others - wide-cut denim and sweater sets; though I’ve been firm on my stance when it comes to low-rise pants - and that’s a hard no from me. Cut to Irina Shayk stepping out for the Bulgari party in NYC in a LaQuan Smith bustier and pants from The Attico and I’m over here eating my words - and browsing the web for the same hip-slung cargos. While something about low-rise jeans can seem stuck in the past, these cargos - and this whole outfit - feel inspired by nostalgia, but altogether new and exciting. The look feels reminiscent of some throwback style moments, but also kind…

Between the Corset Top and Head-to-Toe Leather, Ciara’s Fall Outfit Is Just Effortlessly Sexy

September 09, 2021 at 05:39PM If I had to choose one outfit to epitomize my fall style inspiration, it would have to be Ciara’s at the Dundas x Revolve show during New York Fashion Week. Sitting front row with Lori Harvey, Emily Ratajkowski, and La La Anthony on Sept. 8, the singer wore a full leather, monochromatic look featuring a sexy corset top and matching pleated skirt with a short furry coat draped over her shoulders. And of course, the star: her over-the-knee heeled boots lined in a hunter green shearling trim. Between the head-to-toe leather, the perfect olive green color, and the fuzzy accents, the singer’s outfit exudes the main character energy I’m striving for this fall. It’s not easy to pull off wearing a single color from head to toe, but Ciara of course looks effortless as always. Zero in on…

Thank Heavens Lori Harvey Gave Us a Peek at the Back of Her Dress, ‘Cause Whew, Is It Sexy

September 09, 2021 at 05:19PM Hey, can someone check on Michael B. Jordan real quick? ‘Cause we just want to make sure he’s doing OK after seeing Lori Harvey’s latest outfit. The always-stylish model attended the Peter Dundas x Revolve runway show during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday and wore quite the head-turning piece from the capsule collection to celebrate its debut. Lori chose a chocolate-brown maxi dress that made her radiate major goddess energy as she posed on the glossy runway. At first, we were most captivated by the hip-grazing slit and side cutouts, but then we caught a glimpse at the back of her dress, which was fully open and draped with gunmetal chains, and that instantly took the cake for sexiest detail. Lori appears to be quite fond of open-back silhouettes these days. Remember that sequined Prada number she…

WILLOW Is the First Artist to Wear PacSun’s Gender-Free Collection While Performing at the Store

September 09, 2021 at 05:01PM WILLOW performed at PacSun’s Downtown LA store on Wednesday, Sept. 8, to help launch the brand’s first gender-free, eco, sustainable line called Colour Range. The actor, singer, and rapper was chosen to kick off the live event by singing her songs “Transparent Soul” and “Lipstick” because of her commitment to activism along with her bold personality. “[Colour Range] represents inclusivity, and we feel WILLOW’s self expression and free style in how she approaches her clothing options is the perfect fit for us,” Brie Olson, President of PacSun, explained to POPSUGAR. WILLOW chose to wear the Eco Oversize Hoodie and matching Eco Washed Sweatpants underneath a denim jacket, teamed with black high-tops for her appearance. “To perform in an intimate setting at PacSun’s DTLA store in celebration of the Colour Range launch fills me with the utmost gratitude,” she…

Jen and Ben Are Cruising Through Venice Looking Utterly Glorious

September 09, 2021 at 03:30PM Just when I was about to hit that mid-afternoon slump, along came Jen and Ben to save the day. Arriving in ultra-glamorous style to the Venice Film Festival, everyone’s favourite reunited couple took to the canals of this iconic Italian city in their finest garms—a white lace fit ‘n’ flare dress for J Lo, and, well, a standard black polo shirt for Ben—and canoodled in a luxe leather-clad speedboat. It was enough to send the paparazzi into a spin, and almost every frame of this fabulous journey was documented. I may be reading into things here, but white lace is rather bridal, isn’t it?Only a few days ago did J.Lo make yet another grand entrance into Italy for the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda show (you may recall her birthday trip at the end of July). Flanked by be-sequined gondoliers and the star…

Chloe x Halle Are Each Other’s Yin and Yang in These Black and White Slip Dresses

September 09, 2021 at 04:01PM Chloe and Halle Bailey were among many of the celebrities who kicked off New York Fashion Week with a runway show, event, or two. The talented, Grammy-nominated singers attended Bulgari’s celebration of the B.zero1 collection at Le Bain on the 18th floor of The Standard, welcoming the spotlight in matching satin Peter Do slips. Do actually staged his own runway on the same day in Brooklyn, so this style move from the Baileys was likely a salute to the brand, which is emerging on the scene and surely one to watch. In between DJ sets by Paul Sevigny, Chloe and Halle took the stage to perform in their stunning gowns, which were glammed up with sparkling diamonds. Stylist Nikki Cortez sourced these looks for the duo, so we have her to thank for yet another striking red carpet…
