Law Roach Strikes Again: See Kehlani’s Cropped Crystal Suit at the 2021 Met Gala

September 14, 2021 at 07:26PM This year’s American-themed Met Gala delivered dozens of unforgettable celebrity fashion moments, thanks in part to the style wisdom of Law Roach. A full day after the Costume Institute Benefit, we can’t take our eyes off the crystal-embellished AliĂ©tte suit he styled for Kehlani. Sparkling from every angle, the suit included a cropped jacket with exaggerated shoulder pads and high-waisted, wide-leg pants that stretched all the way to the floor. Styled with feathered waves, silver platform boots, and a whole jewelry store’s worth of diamond rings, the crystal suit made Kehlani look like a ‘70s disco queen. A few hours later, the “I Like Dat” singer hit up Rihanna’s afterparty in a black pinstripe suit with flowers and symbols - including the words “Come as You Are” - embroidered on the sleeves and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. She paired…

Kim Kardashian and Rihanna: The Looks that Broke the Internet

September 14, 2021 at 07:18PM It’s the Tuesday after the second Monday in September, and unsurprisingly all anyone can talk about is Kim Kardashian, and Rihanna on the 2021 MET Gala red carpet. After a COVID-induced hiatus, fashion’s most prominent event celebrated its glorious return with stylish stars serving looks inspired by “American Independence,” the theme of this year’s exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute. Arguably the most anticipated arrivals of the night — which is saying something considering the A-list attendees — Kim Kardashian and Rihanna donned similar all-black ensembles, both by creative director Demna Gvasalia for the French house, Balenciaga. View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian) The reality star appeared first in a unique couture gown that came with a matching mask and train. Hidden Lingerie Is Making Intimates More Comfortable for Women with Crohn’s and Colitis

September 14, 2021 at 06:00PM It is a truth universally accepted that bras and underwear are the worst. In a journey akin to searching for the Holy Grail, the hunt to find those magical and perfect undergarments can feel like an endless series of challenges. Whether shoppers are looking for lift, coverage, size, colour, fabric, style or anything (and everything) in between, what unites most bra wearers is the struggle for comfort. For women with Crohn’s disease and colitis, this pursuit can feel especially exhausting. Toronto-based brand Hidden Lingerie is trying to change that. Featuring an array of bralettes and undies in muted tones, founder Natalie Jones created her company with the hope of “changing the way women who have Crohn’s and colitis feel about their bodies.” Jones has from Crohn’s disease herself and describes how hard it is for women who like…

Was Rihanna Hiding This Sheer Afterparty Skirt Under Her Billowing Met Gala Gown?

September 14, 2021 at 05:37PM Rihanna might have been covered up from head-to-toe on the Met Gala red carpet, but whew, was her afterparty look a totally different story! After arriving fashionably late to the annual ball in a billowing Balenciaga gown reminiscent of a chic duvet cover, the billionaire multihyphenate strolled up to her highly anticipated afterparty in a modern-day, flapper-style outfit, also by Balenciaga. She tied up a simple black T-shirt on one side, fashioning it into a crop top, and added a completely sheer jewel-trimmed skirt for that “wow” factor. Similar to her gala getup earlier in the evening, Rihanna piled on the shiny accessories, subbing in a black bedazzled headpiece and adding several diamond bracelets and rings, a silver and black choker, Nikos Koulis tassel necklace, glitzy earrings, a fuzzy clutch with silver chains, and Amina Muaddi heels with…

Megan Fox Wore a Shorter, Comfier Version of Her Met Gala Gown For the Afterparty

September 14, 2021 at 05:33PM Megan Fox didn’t hold back for her first Met Gala, wearing a sexy red Dundas gown with countless crisscross cutouts and debuting shocking baby bangs. And it looks like the festivities didn’t end on the Upper East Side. The Till Death actress swapped her lace-up dress for another red-hot outfit for the afterparty: this time, a one-shoulder mini embellished with similar sequin and crystal details, basically rocking a shorter, comfier version of her glamorous look from earlier in the night. While Megan attended the Met solo, she met up with boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly at the afterparty, where he joined in on the fun in a complementary outfit adorned with the same red sequins. While Megan’s hot Dundas gown was of course, custom, the short dress - that also features a cool exaggerated shoulder - is a Dundas…

The Meaning Behind Elliot Page’s Green Rose Boutonniere at the Met Gala

September 14, 2021 at 05:16PM Elliot Page looked effortlessly cool at the Met Gala on Monday. The actor wore a black Balenciaga suit and chunky sneakers, also by the brand, for his first-ever appearance at the famous fashion event. It was his boutonniere, however, that caught our attention, and added some symbolism to the otherwise understated outfit. The green rose pinned to Elliot’s suit is widely being interpreted as a nod to Oscar Wilde. The poet and playwright famously had one of his actors wear a green carnation on opening night of his 1892 comedy Lady Windermere’s Fan. He also had several of his friends wear green carnations on their lapels as well. Being that Oscar was believed to be gay, and prominently featured gayness as a theme in his work, the green carnation has since been claimed as a symbol for gay…

Natalia Bryant Couldn’t Sit Down at the Met Gala, but That Gorgeous Dress Makes It All Worth It

September 14, 2021 at 04:22PM Natalia Bryant makes her Met Gala debut! What an iconic way to kick off a fashion career. The up-and-coming model just signed with IMG Models in February and is already out here making statements on red carpets. On Monday night, the 18-year-old wore a dramatic ‘60s-inspired look by Connor Ives, a creation that will also be on display at the Met’s “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” exhibition. Created to explore the themes of an American debutante, the beautiful dress was covered in colorful floral sequins made from recycled PET plastic and featured a balloon-shaped silhouette and train that left Natalia with no choice but to stand the entire car ride to the event. And while she couldn’t sit in the gown, she certainly did the design justice with the help of Image Architect Law Roach, completing the…
