35 Things You’ll Regret Not Picking Up on Sale at Old Navy This Week

September 23, 2021 at 01:00AM Fall is finally here, no matter what the current forecast is. And, because we know the air will soon crisp, we’re sharpening our focus on cozy fashion like sweaters and hoodies, shirts to layer, and jeans and leggings, too. Of course, since we also love saving money no matter the season, we headed to Old Navy’s sale section to see which markdowns were calling our name. Out of thousands of pieces, we picked these 35 as standouts, and our faves start at $8. Then, for the best news ever, take an extra 25 percent off any of these purchases - or 35 percent off $100 or more - with the code WOOHOO (through Sept. 23, 2021). Happy fall … and happy shopping! Nobody Believes This Target Blazer Is Only $35 (But Seriously, It’s True!)

September 22, 2021 at 04:15PM Fall has arrived, which means it’s officially time to trade in those flouncy sundresses and tan-grazing, off-the-shoulder tops for some layers. But, while most people opt for a cute leather jacket or plush shacket, I’m partial to blazers. I know, I know, blazers don’t have the best reputation, sartorially speaking. Sure, they might look good on HRC, but wearing them outside of the boardroom can give you some serious Working Girl vibes - and not necessarily in a hip or modern way. However, when you find the right blazer, it can seriously elevate your outfit, striking that perfect balance between casual and undeniably chic. Fortunately, I found a little bit of fashion perfection in this A New Day Women’s Plaid Blazer ($35). The first thing that struck me about this layer was its enduring versatility. Don’t be fooled…

Activist Emily Barker Talks Fashion Runways: “There Should Be More Than 1 Disabled Person in Each Show”

September 22, 2021 at 10:45PM Emily Barker is one of the many activists and artists turned models you’ve probably come across on your explore page thanks to their impact. Barker, who goes by celestial investments on Instagram, has been named one of the leading culture-defining creators by the social media platform in a new campaign. The visibility Barker has created for the underrepresented disabled community, particularly in fashion, does not go unnoticed - they’ve racked up nearly 35k followers and were featured in two New York Fashion Week shows: Collina Strada (above) and Maisie Wilen (below). Barker’s own style is sporty and so ‘90s, with a grunge influence and y2k jewelry trends mixed in. If that’s your look, their feed is chock-full of outfit inspo. Plus, you’ll be blown away by how seamlessly they coordinate thrifted finds with high-fashion pieces or accessories from…

These Runway Looks Were Meant to Be Worn by These 7 Celebs – Don’t You Agree?

September 22, 2021 at 10:35PM After a year of mostly virtual runways, New York Fashion Week returned to the streets of Manhattan, and we all eagerly waited to spot our favorite celebrities and see what our go-to brands have been cooking up behind the scenes. It felt particularly emotional to watch a show in person, still in disbelief that this is a thing again while basking in the glitz and glam of it all. From established artists like Michael Kors to runway debutants like Peter Do, designers helped us reimagine dressing up for today’s times. We saw cool plays on knitwear with Victor Glemaud, colorful sequins with Tom Ford, slinky crochet pieces with Jonathan Simkhai, and sharp tailoring with Peter Do, among other statement-making looks. We also saw a reemergence of activism through fashion with designers like Chromat and Prabal Gurung weaving powerful…

Megan Fox and Kourtney Kardashian Are Giving Us Vampire Girlfriend Realness in Skims Campaign

September 22, 2021 at 10:12PM One fact about Kim Kardashian: her Skims campaigns never miss. The shapewear brand’s latest cotton collection restock was no exception. Founder Kim K called upon the internet’s favourite punk-rock girlfriends — her sister Kourtney Kardashian and Megan Fox — to star in it. The new images have us absolutely shook. The Skims campaign, shot by Donna Trope, was released on September 22, and shows Fox and Kardashian in their fully realized vampire-girlfriend states. Sporting long, dark hair, matching dark green nails and dressed in all-black pieces from the collection, the two are giving us unmistakable goth vibes. Recyclable Sneaker Brand Thousand Fell Comes to Canada

September 22, 2021 at 09:45PM Thousand Fell, a NYC-based brand, says it has created the world’s “first recyclable sneaker.” Made of materials like upcycled clothing, plastic water bottles and even food waste, the brand has filled a gap in the notoriously wasteful footwear industry. The minimalistic vegan shoes have generated a lot of buzz and racked up hefty waitlists — and as of September 22, they’re available in Canada, too. Chloe Songer and Stuart Ahlum founded the online sneaker brand in 2018, and have since seen strong demand from the Canadian market — specifically in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal and Edmonton. The founders had hoped to make the brand available in Canada from the start, Songer tells FASHION, but it’s been challenging to figure out the logistics for the brand’s “take back” business model. When customers are done with the shoes, the brand…

Our Favourite Comfortable Lingerie to Wear for Fall

September 22, 2021 at 09:24PM As we slowly venture out during this new “normal” phase of the pandemic, the reality of dressing for life outside our living rooms may have some of us less enthusiastic than we’d like to admit. “Hard pants,” heels and bras just aren’t as cozy as sweats, sneakers and going au naturel. (Who needs ’em, anyway, right?) But at least there are now more comfortable underwear and lingerie lines that want us to forget we’re wearing anything at all. Australian brand Sevinge is known for using soft, luxury fabrics to embrace your natural body shape, while Canadian label Hidden Lingerie provides comfortable options for those with Crohn’s disease and colitis. Fan-favourite Knix recently launched leakproof boxers for those who want more coverage during that time of the month, and Cuup has introduced new colourways to their best-selling style. From mesh bralettes…

The Best Street Style Inspo from London Fashion Week

September 22, 2021 at 07:17PM It’s hard to put into words what makes British fashion so quintessentially cool, and London street style is no exception. Fashionistas flocked to the cobblestone streets before and after various spring 2022 fashion week events in flashes of neon, relaxed suiting and sensible footwear. Brown and green were favourites among the crowd with beige bottoms and emerald sweaters were as far as the eye could see. Brightly coloured bulbous gowns were also a focal point as many influencers could be seen posing “candidly” around corners immersed in highlighter hues. But perhaps what the Brits do best is their tailoring, as demonstrated by the hordes of casual suits that appeared throughout the week. Giving the traditional garments an editorial upgrade, stylish men and women strutted down the streets in effortlessly cool ensembles, experimenting with silhouettes, colour, and texture. Plus,…
