November 03, 2021 at 05:15AM Celebrities rewearing their outfits? We love to see it. But what we appreciate even more is when a celeb pays homage to an outfit they originally wore decades earlier. Granted, this doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s the stuff of fashion gold. And today, we have one such nugget to share with you. Gwyneth Paltrow wears a red velvet suit designed by Alessandro Michele for Gucci to the brand’s 2021 Love Parade fashion show. Gwyneth Paltrow’s style influence has spanned over 30 years—which undoubtedly means she has one of the best wardrobes in the business. It’s so good that even she can’t help but be inspired by it from time to time. Just last night, Gwynnie stepped out in a chic ruby-red velvet suit that we were into from the get-go. Then it dawned on us—we’d seen her in something very similar before… a cool…

Ciara’s Version of a Turtleneck? A Sexy, Rhinestone Gown With a Slit Up to Her Hip

November 03, 2021 at 04:48PM Ciara walked the red carpet with designer LaQuan Smith before presenting him with an honor at the 25th annual ACE Awards on Tuesday, Nov. 2, in New York City. The event, hosted by the Accessories Council, also saw celebrity appearances from Nina Agdal, Sabrina Carpenter, and Whoopi Goldberg, who spoke on behalf of Christian Siriano. Ciara appropriately slipped into a brown turtleneck bodysuit with an affixed custom wrap skirt from Smith’s spring 2022 line, which he presented atop the Empire State Building in early September. Not only was the look covered in shimmering rhinestones, it also featured a hip-high, leg-baring slit that the star amped up with tall Christian Louboutin pumps. Ciara wore chunky diamond rings and studs to play up the glitz and the glam, matching LaQuan himself, who stood by her side in jewelry to accent…

Forget a Family Holiday Card: These Photos of the Wades at the Gucci Love Parade Will Do

November 03, 2021 at 04:08PM It’s a family affair! On Tuesday night, Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade, and Zaya Wade were out in full force for the Gucci Love Parade in Los Angeles, and they looked fabulous. The family sat in the front row as celebrities like Macaulay Culkin, Jodie Turner-Smith, and more strutted down Hollywood Boulevard donning Gucci’s finest pieces. Styled by Thomas Christos, Gabrielle wore a gorgeous coral cutout Gucci dress, a metallic clutch, and aqua pumps, while Zaya stunned in a pink Gucci shorts suit. She gripped a matching pink purse and rocked beige mules. On the other side of the color wheel, Dwyane was styled by Jason Bolden and looked dashing in a black turtleneck and pants, white sneakers, and a long silk polka-dot coat. The range this family has! The Wades hung out with Vanessa and Natalia Bryant, as…

BRB, Framing Every Photo From Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson’s J.Crew Campaign

November 03, 2021 at 03:57PM Santa, there’s no need to stop by my home this Christmas, ‘cause I already received the best possible early present from Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson. The charming power couple teamed up to star in J.Crew’s new holiday campaign, and seeing them model the clothes in tandem is sparking more joy than tearing through the wrapping paper on a giant present. For the photo shoot, Jodie and Joshua suited up in various festive pieces from the brand’s latest seasonal collection, including wool sweaters, coordinating suits, and cozy pajamas. (I don’t know about you, but I’ve personally got my eye on the red cashmere slip dress Jodie wore!) While speaking with J.Crew for the campaign, Jodie shared a sweet anecdote about her hubby’s generosity. “Josh is an excellent - and one might even say extravagant - gift giver, which…

Gucci Shuts Down Hollywood With Jared Leto on the Runway, Miley and Lizzo in the Front Row

November 03, 2021 at 03:04PM Hot pants and grandma cardigans, animal-eared beanies and bow-ties, and lace-up leather gloves with shield sunglasses. Gucci shut down Hollywood Boulevard on Tuesday Nov. 2 so Alessandro Michele could use the Walk of Fame as a runway for his Love Parade. If you know the fashion world, particularly the Milan based fashion house and its ability to create a spectacle (and now only twice a year), this may not seem so far-fetched or out of the ordinary, but the celebrity influence was pulsating. Jared Leto, Macaulay Culkin, Jodie Turner-Smith, St. Vincent, Phoebe Bridgers, Steve Lacy, and Miranda July were just some of the famous faces cast in the show, while the Wade family, Miley Cyrus, Lizzo, Tracee Ellis Ross, Dakota Johnson, Vanessa and Natalia Bryant, EJ and Cookie Johnson, and Gwyneth Paltrow, in a replica of her famous…

Diggstown Tackles Birth Alerts and the Policy’s Disproportionate Impact on Indigenous Women

November 03, 2021 at 01:56PM In the November 3 episode of Diggstown, CBC’s ground-breaking legal drama, the show’s creators zero in on birth alerts, a controversial practice in which child welfare agencies notify hospitals and birth centres when an expectant mother is believed to be “high risk,” often resulting in the seizure of the baby without consent. It’s a policy that has been widely condemned for its disproportionate impact on Indigenous and Black women. And while Diggstown is scripted TV, the show’s creator/showrunner Floyd Kane and episode director Juanita Peters want viewers — and Canadians — to know that this is not a fictional policy, nor is it something from the distant past. Nova Scotia (where Diggstown is set) and Quebec still practice birth alerts, while British Columbia, Alberta and the Yukon ceased the policy in 2019. Manitoba and Ontario only stopped issuing…
