11 Co-Ords That’ll Make Your Winter Wardrobe So Much Cosier

November 07, 2021 at 06:02AM Knitted co-ords became my new favourite thing last autumn. Pre-styled enough to feel considered and more directional than a mere winter dress but essentially matchy and therefore easy to throw on, this is cosiness combined with being pulled together. These skirt-and-jumper combos always look sophisticated (just make sure they aren’t too clingy), yet they couldn’t be simpler to throw on each morning. So it’s perhaps no surprise, then, that for 2021 (aka the year of the cosy co-ord), this look has been spotted all over Instagram. Last year, it was a khaki roll-neck and midi from ASOS that everyone from Erica Davies to Jessica Skye wore, but this year, there are so many iterations around.Depending on how brave you are, it has to be said that knitted co-ords look best with bare legs. But with the addition of weather-appropriate footwear and making a call on whether you want a…

Billy Porter Clarifies His Thoughts About Harry Styles Wearing a Dress on Vogue

November 06, 2021 at 05:40PM Image Source: Getty / Amy Sussman and Getty / Anthony Pham After Pose star and Emmy winner Billy Porter criticized Harry Styles’s history-making Vogue cover in The Sunday Times, stating that he created the conversation around gender fluid fashion in Hollywood, Porter is here to clarify his thoughts. “He doesn’t care, he’s just doing it because it’s the thing to do. This is politics for me. This is my life,” Porter had previously said about Harry being the first man to wear a dress on the November 2020 issue. And while many members of the LGBTQIA+ community agreed that a white man should not be the face of a movement that can be largely credited to transgender people of color, Porter now stresses the fact that the dialogue should not necessarily harp on Harry.“The conversation is deeper than…

November 06, 2021 at 03:00PM Honestly, do you remember life before Amazon? Lana Condor Is a Futuristic Daydream in This Plunging, Off-the-Shoulder Moschino Gown

November 06, 2021 at 11:41AM Mystery solved: the great-great-great granddaughter the Jonas Brother were singing about is probably Lana Condor because I’m not going to stop thinking about her Moschino dress for at least the next millennium. OK, it’s not the year 3,000, but Lana did float down the entryway like a futuristic daydream on Thursday while attending amfAR’s annual AIDS fundraiser gala. “An absolute honor to celebrate @jeremyscott wearing @moschino at the @amfar gala last night ✨,” Lana captioned an Instagram post. “You’re a true icon, thank you for having me as one of your event chairs x.” The To All the Boys star lit up the room in a reflective, off-the-shoulder gown with a plunging neckline and a dramatic puff sleeve. Like a mirror, the silver dress caught the light beautifully, drawing attention to the cheeky slit on the front of…

The Duchess of Cambridge Just Wore the Most Daring Colour Trend

November 06, 2021 at 08:00AM One would never really describe Kate Middleton’s style as divisive or challenging. She is the Pied Piper of classic. She is the leader when it comes to lovely dresses and delightful coats. More often than not, she plays it safe in her favourite pumps and beloved trinket jewellery. It’s all par for the royal course, we know, but every now and then, the Duchess of Cambridge goes through a more daring streak, and when it happens, you can be sure that our editors become available to pore over every detail. Hot on the heels of a rather “wow” appearance last night for the premiere of the latest Bond movie, No Time to Die, the DoC followed up her stellar golden caped gown from Jenny Packham with another British designer today. Choosing a vibrant purple trouser suit from Emilia Wickstead was an inspired and rather bold…

If You’re Looking for a New Winter Coat, These Are the Best Brands

November 06, 2021 at 08:00AM The one fashion question I’m asked the most by my friends is, “Where is the best place to buy a winter coat?” Whatever budget you’re working within, a winter coat tends to take up a large chunk of your clothing costs, and so it’s a purchase that takes some consideration. Whether you’re able to invest in a luxury label or want to find the best the high street has to offer, below, you’ll find the 12 brands that I think you can always depend on when it comes to outerwear. It’ll be no surprise to you that a Max Mara coat is the ultimate purchase. However, at the contemporary level, I’m also always impressed by London-based label Shrimps, new name from Copenhagen Stand Studio and solid investment option Joseph. When it comes to the high street, the Scandinavian brands really do coats like no other,…

I Try Hundreds of Skincare Products a Year, But These 15 Are My Holy Grails

November 06, 2021 at 08:00AM Being a beauty journalist is wonderful for so many reasons. First of all, we get to write about beauty products all day long. Then there’s the fact we get first dibs on all of the new products before they even hit the shelves. And need I even mention all of the advice we get day in, day out from the best experts in the industry? And while we beauty editors hate to complain about anything to do with our jobs, there is sadly one major downside. You see, testing out products all day long isn’t exactly what one might call a solid routine—and skin really likes routine. Constantly chopping and changing products does not a good skincare routine make, and our skin knows it.In fact, my skin gets pretty stressed. More often than not, I’m dealing with breakouts, dryness, redness and/or irritation. And stressed skin makes me…
