Lil Nas X Wears a Sequin Suit, Platform Boots, and Not Much Else at the GQ Men of the Year Awards

November 19, 2021 at 05:50PM Stars gathered to celebrate GQ’s annual Men of the Year awards on Thursday night, and one particular honoree stood out among the rest. Lil Nas X - who recently graced the cover of the magazine as Musician of the Year - sparkled in a sequin ombrĂ© suit jacket and matching high-waisted trousers with a little flare. He opted for no shirt under the blazer, because of course, and let his toned abs do the talking. He stacked on some accessories, which included an assortment of silver rings, butterfly-shaped earrings, and a pair of sporty sunglasses. Shein Responds After Undercover Report Alleges Labour Law Violations

November 19, 2021 at 05:45PM Shein’s reputation has taken another hit. The TikTok-famous fast fashion brand was embroiled in yet another controversy last week after an investigation by Swiss advocacy group Public Eye uncovered alleged labour law violations at its facilities in China. Researchers — who remained anonymous for their own safety — visited 17 of the brand’s suppliers in the region of Guangzhou, China, a sprawling port city north of Hong Kong once home to Shein’s headquarters (the company is currently based in Nanjing). The report’s alarming findings include 75-hour workweeks, hazardous work environments and other alleged labour law violations. Many of the manufacturing sites were described as “informal workshops” that posed fire hazards, with no emergency exits and barred windows.
