November 24, 2021 at 05:04PM Lana Condor can’t stress enough the importance of a good shower. And when you’re as busy as she is, that small act of self-care is sometimes all you can manage. Since Condor was first introduced to the world as Lara Jean Covey, the quirky teen lead in Netflix’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, the actor has been the unofficial on-screen best friend for fans of the film. Her charming, loveable character made us feel like we were growing and learning alongside her while she navigated the challenges of her first romantic relationships. But as the series came to a close at the start of 2021 with Lara Jean going off to college, Lana Condor, too, has moved into a new phase of life. “I’ve been kind of playing the same role for the past three years,…

The Outfits on Euphoria Are All I Want to Wear – Look Back at Season 1’s Style

November 24, 2021 at 03:22PM If you want a lesson on incredible dressing tactics, watch one episode of Euphoria. Costume designer Heidi Bivens sorted through plenty of vintage pieces and even customized some looks for the HBO series, which has just revealed its first trailer for season two. Each character’s wardrobe strikes the perfect balance between popular nostalgic trends and self-expression, resulting in episodes where storylines are very much illustrated by the clothes. “I was looking at real teens. I would go to high schools - not to be a creep - but I’d sit outside and watch teens when they would get out of school, just to see what was really going on with how they dress, how they have access to clothes, and where they shop,” Bivens told Fashionista. She even reached out to brands she was interested in featuring via…

The Crochet Trend Got a Modern Upgrade, and Here We Are Falling in Love Again

November 24, 2021 at 02:45PM No longer limited to resort-wear, crochet pieces have found their way into our everyday wardrobe, in the form of crafty and comfortable sweaters, textured pants, and eye-catching bags. While they often get associated with items in Grandma’s closet, today’s crochet separates are far from boring as designers have given them a modern twist. From Altuzarra’s crochet-trimmed suits to Gabriela Hearst’s multicored dresses and artisanal sets, the spring 2022 runway presented an array of imaginative crochet outfits with year-round wearability. These iterations exuded easy elegance while looking deliciously comfortable. Plus, their day-to-night appeal is undeniable - making the case for crochet pieces earning a permanent spot in our closets. How do you bring this trend into your daily rotation? Start with accessories. A crochet bucket hat can be a cooler alternative to a typical beanie. What do you do…

Mark My Words, These Cult Coats Will Sell Out by Tonight

November 24, 2021 at 10:14AM If you’re fast enough off the mark, tomorrow sees the latest drop of Charlotte Simone’s Insta-famous coats arriving just in time for winter. You’ll know the ones: Retro in feel, recognisable in their fuzzy collars and cuffs, neat in fit (usually belted) and swishy of skirt, the British designer’s vibrant and joyful pieces of outerwear have become the ultimate fashion pick-me-up during dark winter months—or any month in the UK for that matter—for minimalists and maximalists alike.I’ve been a big fan of Simone’s since she first came onto the seen with her jazzy, furry “Popsicle” scarves—this is a woman who knows how to do fun fashion and allow her customer to make a statement without trying too hard. Since her early days in the land of accessories, Simone has moved onto outerwear in recent years and amassed quite the following for…

27 Wardrobe Basics You Need in Your 30s, From Someone Who Knows

November 24, 2021 at 06:02AM I’m going to turn 37 at the end of the year, and while I have curated my wardrobe staples over the years, I think I've finally settled on a capsule of the below 27 items. Now, well into my 30s, I think it’s safe to say I’m happy with these pieces and I would never switch any of them out for anything else. Yes, newer additions come and go, but these are the ones I wear regularly. I’ve not included items like skirts or wedding guest dresses because as I’ve mentioned, this is about getting dressed daily, rather than for those special events. This list isn’t about items that are nice to have. This list isn’t about trends, either. This list is all about pieces that will last in your wardrobe, and whenever you wear them, they will make you feel good and look stylish when…

4 Mid-Length Styles That Make Thin Hair Look So Much Thicker

November 24, 2021 at 08:00AM Thin hair can be difficult to style. Trust me—I know. I’ve tried to make my naturally thin hair look thicker and fuller ever since I was in middle school and my mum let me get my hands on a hot tool. Since then, I’ve cycled through plenty of hairstyles, volumising products, and thickening techniques. Some have worked, but most haven’t. That’s okay. Somewhere along the way, I’ve learned to live and work with my naturally thin hair (sigh), and the style I choose to wear it in has a lot to do with that. For example, I’ve learned a slick-straight style doesn’t do my thin hair any favours, which is why I tend to go with tousled, textured waves instead. So yeah, I had my opinions on what hairstyles work best for my thin, medium-length hair, but I was wondering what experts…

Kate Middleton Just Wore Another Piece We Can’t Believe She Found in Zara

November 24, 2021 at 08:00AM If you’re a regular reader of Who What Wear, you’re probably well acquainted with Kate Middleton’s wardrobe. She dresses pretty classically, but occasionally she’ll surprise us with something a bit different (case in point: this chic outfit with Warehouse and Chanel). The list of the designers she often turns to is pretty definite: often Alexander McQueen and Jenny Packham and occasionally Erdem, Emilia Wickstead and Roksanda. But it’s not just the more expensive end of the spectrum she’s a fan of. She regularly wears high-street pieces from a range of brands, from Superga sneakers to & Other Stories dresses. But, and I’m going to put my stake in the ground here, her favourite store has to be Zara. For years she’s worn pieces from the high-street brand and always makes them look super expensive. Yesterday she attended a Euros game with…

I Predict That in 2022 Everyone Will Dress Like It’s 2002

November 24, 2021 at 08:00AM Each season as fashion month begins, editors, influencers and fashion enthusiasts are bombarded with new-season styles. With four separate cities putting on events and several shows each day, there’s a veritable banquet of looks and designers to keep track of. And while newness is, of course, the name of the game, this season, I found myself experiencing a recurring sense of dĂ©jĂ  vu.In New York, Milan and Paris, several designers and brands sent looks down the runway which felt oddly familiar, immediately conjuring up nostalgia for the early 2000s. Miu Miu created barely-there miniskirts adorned with box pleats and thin belts, a look which Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and every other Y2K It girl heavily invested in back in 2002. Cargo trousers (yes, cargo trousers!) were back on the agenda at Tom Ford, validating the questionable fashion choices I made as a…
