36 Blunt Bobs That Are Making Me Completely Rethink Having Long Hair

November 25, 2021 at 08:00AM Having a hairdresser for a mum has meant that I’ve done just about everything you can think of to my hair. I’ve been platinum blonde, mahogany brown and everything in-between. I’ve framed my face with feathering and had thick fringes cut in. I’ve had hair down to my waist and chopped to my chin. It’s fair to say I was pretty fearless with my hair. That is until I got older.I don’t know why, but for some reason, I’ve defaulted to long length hair in a creamy hue with lived-in roots. Now, though, after witnessing some impressive hair transformations on Instagram of late, I’m finally going to give my ‘do a refresh. And the look I’m toying with is a blunt bob.The blunt bob has undergone a bit of a resurgence as of late. A far cry from the dreaded bowl…

Finally, a Bag Trend That Is Actually Practical

November 25, 2021 at 08:00AM It seems as though handbags have been getting progressively smaller over the course of the last decade, so much so that we eventually ended up at Jacquemus’s (in)famous Le Chiquito bag, which measures at just 3.5 inches high. Probably big enough for a 50p coin and packet of chewing gum. For those who have despaired at the trend’s lack of practicality, you’ll be happy to learn that XXL bags are back for A/W 21. I mean, they never really went away, but we’re just happy that fashion brands have finally realised that bigger is definitely better in the bag department. Just give the people what they want. From oversized crossbodies to roomy structured styles, there’s so much to choose from in the XXL-handbag stakes. On the high street, we would recommend checking out COS for big bags, particularly shopper silhouettes in both leather and smocked fabrics. On the upper end of…

Knee Boots Are the Only Boots I’m Interested In—These 33 Pairs Are Perfect

November 25, 2021 at 08:00AM For the longest time, during the autumn and winter months, I only ever wore ankle boots. Why? There’s a variety of reasons. I told myself they were more versatile and worked better with the clothes I wore. I also found it hard to get boots any higher to fit around my calves—a problem many of us seem to have when it comes to boot shopping. And being on the petite side, I assumed anything above the ankle would make me look shorter. How wrong I was. Now, knee boots are, hands down, my favourite boot silhouette, and although they’ve never officially been out of style, it seems like leather knee-high boots are one of the only styles that matter for autumn/winter 2021.From celebrities to top-tier influencers, everyone is already wearing leather knee-high boots, and I don’t think that’s a coincidence. For…

I’m Totally Uninspired by Makeup in Winter, But These 8 Looks Are Just Too Good

November 25, 2021 at 08:00AM I’m not sure about you, but when winter comes knocking I get lazy with my makeup routine. The minute temperatures hit single figures, any motivation I once had to sit in front of the mirror first thing and apply a full-face is totally diminished. If you’re asking me, it doesn’t matter how good the season’s trends are, I’d much prefer to spend an extra 10 minutes in bed rather than get up early on a dark winter’s morning to spend more time on my makeup.I know this makes me lazy (and a bad beauty editor to boot), but it’s the truth. This year, however, I’m feeling a little differently. You see, the events of last winter meant that my seasonal loathing for doing my makeup was defunct. Having no reason to need to apply my oodles of makeup (because…

4 French Women on the Only Anti-Ageing Products They Trust

November 25, 2021 at 06:30AM I’m going to save you the preamble of why we love French women and just cut to the chase: they do everything so effortlessly. And, as if their flair for style wasn’t enough, they also know how to look after their skin well. Mais bien sĂ»r. I’ve read plenty of pieces over the years about how French women do everything they can to ensure their skin is as glowing as possible. They don’t wear too much makeup and they invest in anti-ageing skincare much earlier than us across the channel. But is that true? I decided to get in touch with four French women who I admire and ask them what’s really behind great skin. Keep scrolling for everything you need to know.“French girls are really interested in skincare, and it starts early. In terms of starting anti-ageing products in your 20s,…

So Many Editors Want This Expensive-Looking High-Street Jacket

November 25, 2021 at 06:10AM If there were a prize for the jacket trend that has been given the most airtime over the last two years, it would have to go to the blazer. As someone who has around five currently sitting in my wardrobe, I can attest to its versatility, timelessness and easiness. With its boxy fit and premium-feel fabric, my Arket wool blazer is a personal highlight, and it seems as though I am not alone in my love for this particular piece, as I’ve spotted it on countless fashionable faces on Instagram.Coming in a handful of cool colourways—black, navy, beige, burgundy, chocolate brown and an unexpected shot of pink—this blazer has certainly earned its reputation for being a classic wardrobe staple. A popular styling hack is to add it to jeans and a tee, but I have also seen it worn with colour-match trousers for a polished suit…
