Meghan Markle is now a podcast host with her and Prince Harry’s multiyear Spotify deal having come to fruition this week. With the release of “Archetypes” comes a string of style moments as the Duchess of Sussex promotes the new series.
In a recent video posted on the Spotify Instagram account, Markle is seen wearing a smart and stylish ensemble. Consisting of a classic striped tie-neck blouse in warm brown and neutral tones and Anine Bing’s tan Elyse trousers, the office-ready outfit is a style lesson in transitioning from summer to fall. Markle forwent a necklace and left the blouse undone on top for a more relaxed yet still professional look, finishing her ensemble with tan pumps, dainty gold studs, her Cartier Tank watch and Love bracelet, and rosy, soft-glam makeup.
The duchess’s elegant top is reminiscent of , Anthropologie’s apparel line that references a purple flower, a Greek goddess, and an Irish warrior queen, with a to Markle’s retailing at $120.
Her business-oriented attire is a departure from the look she embraced in her podcast’s cover art, which showed the mother of two posing against a gray backdrop in a white ribbed tank top. The pared-down, minimal portrait serves to highlight the content of her podcast, which will tackle stereotypes about women, one stripped-back and authentic conversation at a time.
For the first episode, Markle interviewed her friend and Vogue’s September cover star Serena Williams about ambition. “Often women are definitely put in these different boxes when we are ambitious or when we do have goals or when we reach our goals,” Williams said during the recording. “It’s a negative connotation on how we reach the goals.” Needless to say, it’s absolutely worth a listen.
Ahead, appreciate the video promo, as well as Markle’s stunning cover portrait, and re-create her tie-neck blouse moment.
