If you’re searching for a standout ensemble that combines power and allure, look no further than the shirtless blazer. On Tuesday, Karrueche Tran took the tried-and-true combo for a spin at Vanity Fair’s Vanities party in Los Angeles, showing up to celebrate young Hollywood stars ahead of Sunday’s Oscars. An elegant way to go shirtless, Tran wore an open, double-breasted blazer with nothing underneath, which she paired with matching high-waisted trousers. The Grayscale suit came in a unique colorful print, featuring a mix of grays, pinks, and purples.

Dressed by Bryon Javar, who styles the likes of Marsai Martin and Winnie Harlow, Tran teamed the suit with layered chain necklaces in purple, simple silver hoops, and gold metallic platform heels. Makeup artist Stephen Moleski topped off the look with a soft smoky eye and glowy skin, while hairstylist Ricky Mota styled her hair into a sleek, long braided ponytail. Madison Bailey, Joey King, and Sabrina Carpenter were among other young, stylish talent at the celebration.

This isn’t the first time the “Claws” actor, who’s rumored to be dating rapper Quavo, has given a traditional suit a playful treatment. Tran dressed in an eccentric vest-blazer for a YSL Beauty event just earlier this month. Back in November, at the CFDA Awards, Tran wore a Lionne fitted black suit, with side cutouts and a revealing open back. For “The Harder They Fall” premiere a month prior, she chose a broken-down asymmetrical blazer and high-slit miniskirt, also from Lionne.

Though Tran gravitates towards tailored silhouettes and cropped styles, she’s spoken about being a mood-based dresser. Whether it’s a backless gown for an event or a varied collection of bikinis on vacation, Tran dresses for the occasion, opting for cool, comfortable pieces. Ahead, get a closer look at her latest style moment.
