Praying for the people of Maui this week, for their safety, and recovery from theĀ devastating fires. Itās such a beautiful and special place, and itās been absolutely heartbreaking to see photos of the damage. If youāre looking for ways to help, check out this link.Ā
Hi hi! Happy Friday! How are you? I hope youāe enjoying the week! Itās been a bit of a blur over here since the kids went back to school. The morning wakeups have been rough lol, but theyāre happy to be back with their teachers and friends.
Before school started, we had a couple of fun last-minute adventures.
The girls and I went to pick veggies at Apple Annieās with some friends. They had an awesome selection of peppers, melons, eggplant, squashes, green beans, corn, and okra.
We got a huge stash of veggies for the week, along with a giant watermelon and cantaloupe, some honey and salsa from the shop, and lots of apple butter. After veggie picking, we had Mexican food at La Unica in Wilcox. Definitely check it out if youāre in the area! They serve breakfast all day and have amazing horchata.
After lunch, we took the girls to see āThe Thingā since they were all intrigued by multiple billboards. The venue has gotten an upgrade since I was a kid.
We also had an afternoon bowling with my mom and nani! Weāve gone roller skating and bowling lately; turns out we thoroughly enjoy vintage activities that require rented footwear that many others have worn since at least the 1960s.
Itās time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something youāre loving in the comments section below.

Health, fitness, good eats:

SO many good eats this week! We had ratatouille, per the girlsā request, with some of the veggies we picked:
(The tomatoes I bought from the grocery store ended up being gross on the inside, but it was still delicious without them)
This glorious lemon and pesto tuna pasta
and a gluten-free zucchini bead, made with one of the giant zucchini from the farm and Trader Joeās gluten-free flour.
We also had crispy okra in the air fryer, with corn bread with bbq chicken. I guess for cooking inspiration, we just need to pick everything that week. š
Fashion + beauty:
You guyyyyyyys. So Iāve been wanting a new tennis necklace, but didnāt really want to spend $$$$ because I tend to get worried about things getting lost or ruined. I have a real tennis bracelet that Iāve worn maybe five times because Iām so scared of it falling off and getting lost. I was browsing Amazon and came across this one. Itās SO pretty and sparkly; I get compliments on it all the time! Also, I can wear it every day with worrying about something happening to it. 10/10 recommend. Link is here!
lululemon finds. Liv and I got a little lululemon haul the other day, because sheās heading back to dance, and Iām heading back toā¦ life. š
Included in the mix:
these shorts
this sports bra
this sports bra
this tank
this crop
and this top
