Dua Lipa’s Polka-Dot String Bikini Is Covered in Rainbow Bugs

We’re totally buggin’ over Dua Lipa’s swimsuit. In a June 20 Instagram, the singer posed in a string bikini from her new Versace La Vacanza collection, featuring a black-and-white triangle top with the signature gold Medusa hardware. “My summer outfit until further notice,” she captioned the post, leaning against the shower in matching tie bottoms covered in polka-dots, colorful ladybugs, and vibrant butterflies. “An absolute BEAUTY!! This summer is ALL about La Vacanza,” Donatella Versace wrote in the comments section.
Lipa’s partnership with the fashion house began in 2018 after she wore a Versace swimsuit to perform “New Rules” at the Brit Awards. In the ultimate full circle moment, La Vacanza – which initially debuted on May 23 in Cannes, France – was codesigned with her own sparkly style in mind. With pieces specifically created for the summer, the collection includes colorful cutout dresses, bubblegum pink flare pants, crystallized swimsuits, and romantic lacy details. Her polka-dot bikini, which also comes in pastel pink and blue, is arguably one of her more understated looks.
Lipa’s affinity for larger-than-life glamour seems especially fitting for the summer considering her upcoming role as a blue hair mermaid barbie in Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” movie. She previously played into her casting with the disco-inspired music video for “Dance The Night” off the “Barbie” soundtrack, wearing more pieces from the La Vacanza collection, and singing in a pink Cadillac. She kept the Barbiecore aesthetic going strong with a turquoise sequin string bikini, and later got some sun in a kitschy crochet Hello Kitty suit.
