Dua Lipa has us falling in love again with backless dresses, and the zig-zag detailing on her “frock” is enough to make our heads spin. On March 14, the “Levitating” singer wore a black Khaite Dasa Crepe Midi Dress while attending the inauguration of Texas’s first Albanian language school. “The center promotes Albanian culture, art and music while offering language classes for 5-15 year olds ❤️,” wrote Dua, whose parents are Kosovo Albanian, on her Instagram Stories.
At first glance, the dress is formal but chic, with the asymmetrical hemline hitting just above her ankles and the sleeves cutting off right above her wrists. But a quick pirouette in her New Bottega Lug Leather Knee-high Boots revealed a strappy criss-cross design that beautifully elevated the simple silhouette. “i like dancing in my new frock,” she captioned a video of herself twirling in the backless dress. Dua’s stylist, Lorenzo Posocco, paired the look with an Eéra Tokyo 18-karat and Pavé Diamond Mono Earring and Bare by Dries Brute Diamanti Earrings.
Dua’s outfit makes her look like a grunge ballerina ready to take the stage, and we’d happily attend that show any day. Take a 360-degree look at Dua’s dress here.
