Dua Lipa made the Grammys a very stylish affair, first walking the red carpet in a 1992 Versace dress that came with a mesh, corseted bodice and strappy harness. The singer then changed into a second Versace look onstage, where she and Megan Thee Stallion wore safety pin dresses and latex leggings to pay tribute to Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston’s iconic matching moment from the 1998 MTV VMAs. By the end of the night, Lipa had traded Versace for Balenciaga, heading out to explore Las Vegas – where the award ceremony took place – in a spring/summer 2022 design.
Lipa’s stylist Lorenzo Posocco joined her crew and posted photos from the evening, in which the Balenciaga set was on full display. Consisting of opera-length gloves, a balconette corset dress adorned with a mini bow, and tights, the lace-embroidered jacquard set was essentially Balenciaga designer Demna’s take on lingerie as outerwear. Lipa finished the look with a rhinestone-covered Hourglass XS bag, Led Frame sunglasses, and diamond Serpenti jewels from Bulgari. Lipa’s choice in accessories for the Balenciaga outfit provided all the glamour for music’s biggest event. Lipa’s platinum blond hair, styled by Chris Appleton, was left stick straight, and she transitioned from her dark lip color to a tangy rose shade, courtesy of Samantha Lau. She’s one of the many stars who showed her love for the opera length glove trend, which was spotted everywhere at the Grammys, from the red carpet to the stage. Ahead, check out Lipa’s late night, post-Grammys wardrobe change.
