A year after announcing her partnership with Puma, Dua Lipa is here to fulfill even more of our ‘90s fashion dreams with a mini collection for the sportswear brand. Titled Flutur, the Albanian word for butterfly, the four-piece drop comes with black and white baby tees, an oversize hoodie, and a new iteration of the Mayze platform shoe, Lipa’s favorite product of all. Each item is emblazoned with the iridescent butterfly logo she professes to be very proud of in the exclusive campaign video shared with POPSUGAR ahead.
“For me butterflies are more than just beautiful creatures, they represent so much, like transformation, hope, and metamorphosis, over this past year the butterfly has become especially symbolic and meaningful to me,” Lipa stated in the press release, explaining that by using the Albanian word, she’s paying tribute to her heritage while marking a new beginning as a Puma ambassador.
Lipa has been wearing butterflies for most of 2021, so it’s no surprise that she’s incorporating them into this athleisure moment with her name on it. Working with German photographer Daniel Sannwald, Lipa shows off all angles of the Mayze sneaker, along with the other apparel, and exactly how she styles it for the campaign. The collection, which is only a tease of what’s to come in 2022 from Dua and Puma, retails from $30 to $110 and will be released globally on Saturday, Dec. 18, at puma.com and in select retail stores. Ahead, watch Lipa fully immerse herself in this psychedelic fairy tale for Puma, then scroll through the full range.
